Urgent Prayer Request!

In my quiet time this morning I felt the Lord urging me to get as many people praying for my Aunt Doris as possible. She is in the hospital and is overtaken with cancer. They are basically just making her "comfortable". This is my Dad's brothers wife. She and her husband are not believers. In fact they have wanted nothing to do with Christ for all of their 70 some odd years. As Christians we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. But an unbeliever doesn't have that hope. I have to pray that like the guy on the cross next to Jesus who simply believed and in the end was ushered into eternity with Jesus, that the same can happen for my Aunt. I really don't want to think of her spending eternity in torment.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

So I am asking all you prayer warriors to pray right where you are right now. Please pray for her eyes to be opened and for the Lord to send somebody to her that can lead her in that prayer. Because she doesn't have much time left.

Also my cousin just lost his grandson to cancer 2 days ago. He was only 14 and had suffered so badly for so many years. He did however, go to be with the Lord, so we can rejoice in that. But he has left behind one sad Mother, who had watched him suffer for so long and he was her only child, so she could use your prayers of comfort as well.
I appreciate this so much!!!
Big HUGS!!

  1. Oh so much hurt going on there. I just can not begin to understand the pain one must feel in the loss of their child. That just breaks my heart. As for your Aunt, I too hope and pray that she finds God's love during these last moments.

  2. Kimmy,

I just prayed for your Aunt Doris. May the Spirit of our Lord stand over her beckoning "come" and may she know that same peace that the thief on the cross knew. I pray it with all my heart, my friend. And for you...be anxious for nothing, my friend, but by prayer and supplication make your requests known to God...I'm so glad you have shared with us so we can all by praying!

I will also be praying for the loss in your family. My family is still trying to recover from so much loss within one year.

Will you also keep me in prayer. My heart has been out of rhythm yesterday and today. I'm OK..just a little skippidy do da here and there with a migraine and it gets scary sometimes.

    Love ya, my friend.

  4. I join with you and so many others praying for Aunt Doris and your cousin. It is God's Will that all come to repentance, so I know that we are praying in God's will to ask Him to continue to work in her heart. We also know that He is the healer of broken hearts. So we have great assurance of God's awesome power and love in both situations. I pray for peace for you, my friend.

  8. Dear Lord, I pray right now for Kim's Aunt Doris. Thank You for bringing people into her life who were bold enough to share the gospel. I pray those words would permeate her mind and saturate her heart in these potential last days, Father. We would just ask that You open her heart and mind and soul to You, and if need be, that You would give her more time to live to accept You and pass that hope onto her other family members who have none. Thank You, Lord, that we come to You knowing You are fully in control, fully able, supernaturally wired and that You will provide the family with the peace they need to make it through these difficult times. We give You the glory for what You have done, are doing, and will do in this situation, Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  11. Kim:
I am praying earnestly now and will continue in the days ahead. I believe that the Lord has just the right person to speak to your aunt and she her heart and mind will be willing to listen.

My uncle was an unbeliever or rather raised in a church that didn't believe that accepting Jesus Christ was the only way to heaven. His brother and other family members witnessed to him and each time...he rejected them and the shed blood of Jesus. It wasn't until he was on his death bed with cancer that a good friend of his went to see him. He shared the true gospel and the love of Jesus Christ with him and he was willing to listen. He accepted Jesus Christ that night. He called my daddy so excited and couldn't wait to share with him that he had been saved and was heaven bound. He died not long after.

God has the perfect person to talk to your aunt in a way that she will not become defensive and her heart will already be prepared because of so many people agreeing in prayer for her salvation.

Please keep us updated and we are expecting a report of VICTORY!

I will also be praying for peace that only the Holy Spirit can bring to your cousin in the loss of her son to cancer.

God hears our cries and He will answer.

    Love,
    Jenn
