It's time for a little more seasonal decorating. I hope you enjoyed my little table setting yesterday. Today what's working for me is seasonal wall art. I was thinking about this the other day as I stared at the blank wall space in my kitchen. We have TONS of pictures but not a whole lot of wall space. So I opted for less is more, smaller is better. I used to believe that EveRyThinG had to be blown up into at least an 8 x 10. But as kids started to multiply and wall space started to shrink I had to reevaluate my bigger is better theory.
I went to Wally World with my SD card, printed out 6 springy like pictures and got 6- 4 x 6 picture frames and went to work.
Here is the wall space to the right of the door before.
And here is the after.

Here is the whole wall space before.
And after.It just adds a nice splash of color to the white walls don't you think?
I'm eventually going to put a scripture verse above the door.
Now here is where the "seasonal" part comes in. The hard part is over. I got something hung on the wall. Now I can change the pictures based on what season or time of year it is. Just keep these pictures behind the new ones and rotate every season. Cool huh?

I've been having a lot of trouble figuring out how to hang things on the wall, but all of my frames are different shapes and sizes. This looks really nice! Well done!
ReplyDeleteI took an idea I found in the pottery barn magazine. They had walls of black and white photos, in black white and silver frames. I took our favorite pictures, made them up in black and white and put them in different frames. Instant wall art using our favorite pictures and doing them in black and white makes it not too overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea, Kim! You did a great job and it looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
I love your flower pictures and the whole idea of rotating seasonal photos! What a cool concept!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
There you are! I was wondering why I didn't see a post from you this morning. 8-]
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I'm of the bigger is better school myownself. I LOVE that butterfly! It's one of my favourites, but I can never remember its name. {*;*}
You MUST come up here and do the vine thing on my walls! I have some stickies, but no artistic sense at all. My placement always looks... well, stupid. 8-}
Love ya loads, sweet thang!
Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^
What a great idea! I love it. Your stenciling is gorgeous. I'll have to keep this project in mind for some areas where it's small, but needs something to spruce it up. Thanks for the idea. What a talent you have!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea! Thanks for sharing!

LOVE flower photos so this to me is PERFECT! What a difference it makes to that wall and at quite an impressive cost, no doubt! = ) Thanks for sharing. Happy Spring and Happy Easter!

ReplyDeleteHow pretty! And I love that stenciling too!
ReplyDeleteWith both of us being photographers and with all my needlework, we never have enough wall space. So rotate the pictures out every now and then to keep the decorating fresh!
What a great idea! Priced right seasonal wall art.
