Thank You Very Much! The Food Edition!

It's Free Therapy Day!! That's right, it's Thursday, which means it's Thank You Very Much day. The way it works is that you post your little peeves that may have affected you in some way during the week and say, Thank You Very Much in a less than slightly sarcastic tone.

1. To Chocolate, Thank You VERY Much for tasting so good. My hips and thighs greatly appreciate that!

2. To the carrot, why can't you taste more like chocolate, Thank You Very Much!

3. To Publix, where shopping truly is a pleasure, could you give me a break on the prices? We are a one income family, Thank You Very Much.

4. To the Newman O's Cookie, how cruel it is of you to only put 2 cookies as a serving with 130 calories, because you KNOW I'm not going to eat just 2, Thank You Very Much!

5. To my family, who because I made the mistake of "sharing" a few pieces of my chocolate with, now assumes that I'm going to do it all the time. I'm telling you right now, I'm cutting you off, Thank You Very Much!

6. And last but not least, You know it's hot out when the water that's coming out of the COLD side of the tap is 84 degrees and not very refreshing, Thank You Very Much!
If you feel the need to do a little venting head on over to Kmama's and give it a shot.

LOVE YOU MY SWEET FRIENDS!

Psst MOM! This is for you. I'll be posting pictures of the birthday this weekend, I promise!

Kim

  8. HA!!...I've got the "hot water from the cold tap" deal going on too! Even when you let it run a while, it still doesn't get very "cold."

Great post this morning! I look forward to these. If I can come up with something interesting, I'll do one of my own (no, I don't get out much...). ;)

  9. Hey, well, if you didn't READ the nutrition info on the package of cookies, you might assume FOUR cookies is a serving.

Take the Big Grab size of potato chips for instance. We all pick up a bag that size at Subway and eat the whole thing ourselves, thinking it's one serving. But a glance at the bag tells you it's really two and a half servings.

But if you don't look at that, you won't feel guilty. Of course, if you don't look at that info, you will undoubtedly eat more than you should, right? (Except when it comes to carrots...or broccoli...or celery...or, you get the idea)

    Have a wonderful day,
    Patti

  10. LOL - love all the food references my friend! Yuck to that water! That's why I'm glad we have filtered water through the refrigerator.

Funny that I've never had the Newman O's - I always knew they'd be a problem for me and my hips do not need them!

Big you-need-to-find-a-good-chocolate-hiding-place-and-then-YOU-need-to-hide-while-eating-it size hugs to you! Have a LOVELY LOVELY day my friend!!! :)

  11. Kim,

WOW I can't believe how warm the water is from your tap, is that after letting it run for a minute or two?

Time for more chocolate I would say.

I have always wished the same thing about carrots!

No more sharing chocolate w/the fam! Cut them off I say! How dare they think the sharing would continue???? LOL

    Big hugs to you Kim!

  16. Maybe if you keep sharing the chocolate, the Lord will multiply it for you!!! That would be totally cool!!

My husbands rule on cookies is 4 is a serving!!! 2 would never do!!

I cannot believe the temperature of that water, it'll take a lot of ice to cool that off!!

Sounds like we might need to send you some chocolate and cold water!!

    Love and Blessings

  17. I'd be willing to bet that if we asked God to send us chocolate instead of manna from heaven and He did....we would start complaining after a while....then He would send us carrots.

  18. I read this quote in Mary Jane Farms magazine:
"Save the Earth. Scientists say it is the only planet with chocolate." - Author Unknown
I may have gotten that a little wrong, but I love it.

  19. OK, you've opened the Publix can of worms. I LOVE Publix. The only half-viable alternative we have is WD and I HATE WD! Besides, WD is more expensive than Publix now. BUT... you CAN do Publix on the cheap. And they take competitors' coupons! Check out The Duchess's last 2 deals! Prepare to be amazed. 8-}

    Love ya loads, sweet pea!
    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^
