I'll take "DETOX" for $1000.00 Alex

Well it's that time again. My husband and I did a detox diet about 1 1/2 years ago and I think it's time to do it again. We just found out that yeast is causing all sorts of problems with us and are cutting it out. That's hard for one that loves to make homemade bread and eat it! But after what she told me, it wasn't so hard lol. She also told me that blood type O's sometimes can't tolerate wheat and that it will mess with their thyroid. Well my thyroid is always messed up and I am having problems losing weight even after 4- 5 days of exercising a week and eating good. So I'm going to TRY to cut out wheat. I want to try to document this little journey in case anyone else is interested in the information that I find out. And by all means if you have any advice or information I would be glad to hear it.
We are using the FAST TRACK DETOX DIET book again as our detox guide. We really saw a HUGE difference the last time we did it. My husband lost like 15lbs and I lost like 10lbs., just in the 11 days it takes to do this diet. This book has a lot of information in it and can really overwhelm you if you let it. If you get this book, just take nuggets of what you can apply now. Don't try to consume the whole thing.
If this is something you would be interested in learning more about I would be glad to post my thoughts on it during the time that I'm doing it. Well to be honest I may post them anyway even if you aren't interested lol. I'll just post them early before something else ha ha!
Well that's all I got for today! If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Blessings my friends.

  1. Wow, I'm definitely intersted in peeking in on your detox journey! When I wanted to lose weight after having my babes, I used spark people - that place is awesome! I don't think I could give up wheat - but I do have an O blood type.

  2. Kim,

Jason has an under active thyroid and has to take synthroid so I wonder if this would be beneficial to him? He LOVES bread!

Also, I'll check on Josh's game schedule to see if he plays Melbourne but the real question is which side would you sit on my friend? LOL I know, you would have to make a switch at the half!

Hugs to you today...Happy Saturday...we are headed out to the lake!

  4. Count me in for the info too! I've always wondered about the cleansing thing...I have been sick w/ the "crud" this week...during my midterms of course...so I bought a Netti pot...to cleanse my sinuses. It worked! There has to be something to this cleanse too. Do you have to give up coffee???

  5. Post on! If yo're having thyroid trouble, you need to get a book by Richard and Karilee Shames called Feeling Fat, Fuzzy or Frazzled? A few years back, I suddenly piled on 50 lbs! It seemed like overnight. Anyhow, I got this book, put it to use and have lost the entire 50... plus 10! Without dieting. All I did was cut back some on bread and take the recommended supplements for my 'type'. See if your library has it!

  6. I just recently heard from a friend that Lyme's Disease how many problems yeast causes...I am still in denial on that one for now. :) (I am type A+ with no thyroid problems - currently.)

And I know a few people that have recently begun cutting out wheat due to allergies in their families. Turns out that it cause a lot of problems.

I am fine right now, but I bet if I did a detox or cut out yeast or something, I would see a big weight difference.

Looking forward to hearing about it from you!

Umm, chocolate does not contain wheat or yeast - right?

  7. I've read oodles of books about candida (yeast) problems over the years, and I really believe there is huge truth to it, although conventional doctors don't believe in it. However, I don't really follow conventional doctors much anyhow, preferring chiropractic and naturopathy instead. Anyhow, I've tried the candida, yeast-free diet SO many times, but I never get much beyond day 1!! My family isn't really interested in doing it with me, and making different meals seems more a hassle than dealing with the yeast-related problems. Maybe I ought to come down and stay with you for a few weeks...and we could do the detox thing together.

All that to say, I'm definitely interested in hearing how it goes. And maybe one of these days, I'll be right there with ya!!

    Have a great day,
    Patti
