So today I woke up thinking about how today would be a good day to post a Friday funny. I’ll tell you why. Our family had quite a bad week this week. Then two days ago there was a horrible accident involving 4 cars, right down the street from us that could have been prevented had 2 of those cars not been racing each other and went through a 4 way stop hitting two other vehicles. Someone died that day. On that same day I hear about the shooting in Parkland, Florida just south of us. My heart is heavy. So very heavy. And although I continue to carry that burden and pray for all those being directly affected, I still realize the importance of laughter. It’s good medicine the bible says.
So maybe today you can take a little break from all the tragedies of this world, just for 5 minutes and lift your soul with a little laughter. I know I’m a better person when my soul is refreshed. It doesn’t mean I’ll stop praying or caring or having a heavy heart but for 5 short minutes I’m gonna laugh until I cry.

It’s been awhile since I threw out a Friday Funny and I don’t know about you but I need a good laugh.
This video has been around for awhile but it still cracks me up. I haven’t watch any of her other stuff so I’m not sure how clean her other comedy is but this is just hysterical to watch. Enjoy

Today’s Friday Funny is a real story that happened to me a few weeks ago. I wish you could “see” me tell the story because I act it out so much better. But I’m going to try to write it as vividly as possible without getting too wordy. 
It all started when we bought a new to us 2009 pick up truck. I’ve been driving a 1999 Expedition for over 14 years and although I still loved it, we needed something that would pull a camper. Well this pick up truck is fancy. At least to me it is. I’ve never been in a vehicle that had so many fancy options with it. It’s taken some getting used to; and some learning on my part. One of those things was learning to sync my phone with the computer. I thought, “Cool, I can just bluetooth my music if I want to.” Cause you know, why else would you sync a phone to your vehicle. *smile* Keep that in mind.
So one particular day, after owning the truck for about a week, I was driving along, listening to my music, probably louder than I should be, when all of a sudden the music dies down, on its own mind you. Then I hear my cell phone ringing through my truck speakers. People, I didn’t know this was possible. I keep my cell phone in my purse and don’t touch it while I’m driving so I kind of panicked. Not in an (oh my goodness I’m gonna crash) way but it caught me off guard. Meanwhile that whole time, I’m trying to figure out how the heck I’m supposed to answer it. So I glance around real fast and see a picture of a phone on my steering wheel. You’d think it would be a picture of a cell phone but it isn’t. It’s a picture of a land line receiver. Ha! Ha! You can imagine my confusion. So I press it and in a confused, I feel really weird, is this really gonna work kind of way, I say, “Hello?” And then my mom’s voice starts coming through the speakers. I don’t even remember why she called because I couldn’t get past the fact that I was just driving and talking to my mom THROUGH MY SPEAKERS. I think I kept telling her that I was talking through my speakers and that she was in my truck and weird stuff like that. I was kinda excited.
To be honest I felt like a kid with a new toy. I had that look of wonderment the whole time this was going on and probably would have scared someone had they seen me. You know in a, sheesh, that lady be trippin’ on something, kind of way.
It all was such a blur that I don’t even know if I hung up. My mom could still be stuck in my speakers.
Well there’s my story of me feeling very old school in my high tech truck.

Well hello everybody. Sorry I’ve been MIA. My whole family and I came down with the flu over the past 2 weeks and it hasn’t been fun, but we’re all good now. Yay!
Todays Friday funny is one I showed to my kids a few days ago. They LOVE soccer and this was just too funny not to share. Even if you don’t like soccer you’ll find it funny. And don’t worry, it’s all done in fun. (You’ll see what I mean when you watch it.)

Yes people I’m already having football withdrawals. My Pats won the super bowl and I couldn’t be happier about it, but I miss it already.

Well I think that Friday Funnies has run it’s race and is finally coming to an end. Over the past few months participation has been very low and comments even lower. It’s a lot of work to keep it up each week so I think I’m calling it quits.
Does this mean I’m never going to post anything funny on my blog? Uh, no way! Life is funny but now it will be more random, when you least expect it. You won’t even see it coming. Ha! And I hope you don’t stop posting funny things on your blog either.
It’s been a fun 3 years but it’s time to say good bye to this meme!
Thanks to all who have joined in the Friday Funnies fun and spread some giggles over these last few years. I know you’ve given me plenty. You know you can always go back in the archives and see them again. I do that every once in awhile and it’s great fun.

You all do realize that the big Gingerbread House Decorating Contest is coming up don’t you? You do know what this means, don’t you? Oh yeah, the OCD will be in overdrive. My funny today came courtesy of my husbands deodorant. What’s funny about deodorant?
On the front it looks just like your average deodorant.
But for some reason my hubby decided to read the back of it and this is what it said.
Isn’t that a hoot?
What’s funny is that he grabbed his old deodorant and it didn’t say that on the back. It was just normal stuff. I personally thought it was hilarious and I think I might contact the company and tell them so. I love a company with a sense of humor!

My funny today makes me a little scared for when my husband retires.

RETIRED HUSBAND
After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Target.
Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women - she loves to browse.
Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter from the local Target:
Dear Mrs. F,
Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr. F, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras:
1. June 15: He took 24 jars of denture cream and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking.
2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.
3. July 7: He made up a false nametag and started greeting people at the door.
4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'. This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money.
5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway.
6. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.
7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers to bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.
8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were
called.
9.. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.
10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.
11. October 3: Darted around the Store suspiciously while loudly humming the ' Mission Impossible' theme.
12. October 6: He grabbed a Wonka bar at the check out and started singing the Oompa Loompa song.
13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'
14. October 22: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a
fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!'
15. October 30: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, and then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.'
One of the clerks passed out.
