All right, who took it?

I have sooooo lost my motivation this week and I'm looking to get it back. I'm pretty sure if flew out the window with my patience. So if you have seen it will you please tell me where it is? I have this list of things to do but I have completely lost my motivation to do any of them.
Here are just some of the things I need to do before the end of this week.1. Go to Toys R Us (Son's birthday is on Sunday)
2. Go to Sam's Club
3. Send packages
4. Send out a mass email about Sunday
5. Do Laundry
6. Vacuum and Mop the floor
7. Plan for next Homeschool year
8. Finish planting my flowers
9. Clean my office
and the list just goes on and on. But what I REALLY want to do is this.......

EAT

I mean I truly believe this:

I really need intervention. Please find my motivation or just come over and kick me in the butt, but be sure to bring chocolate with you when you do.
Anyone else suffering like this?
I think we should start a chocolate club where we intervene for those in need of some chocolate help and send them some chocolate in the mail! LOL. Cause I sure could use some right now!!!
I also think that it may be that "special" time of the month soon and I just kind of go a little loopy and can't seem to gather one complete thought! Which is what probably spurred this post!
I just know you needed to know that!
Yup! Come back tomorrow for more information then you probably want to know!

But thank you for letting me vent and as you know, I gotta be real! LOL.

LOVE YOU GALS!!

  1. I have a really bad sweet tooth after lunch time. That's the only time really. I have little self control when it comes to chocolate!! Hang in there.

  2. Kimmy,

I'd love to help you find your motivation but I seem to have misplaced mine...I'm sure it's spinning in the thousandth load of laundry!! lol

I am always a planner too and trying to get ready for this trip and I just can't kick it in gear. I keep looking at what needs to be done..but keep saying but it's not in order yet...so, we may never get to NY....lol

If you find some chocolate, enjoy and tell me if that works, my friend. I love ya.

  3. Get one of those things on your list done and reward yourself with chocolate. Chocolate is the best motivator :)

  4. I think my motivation and your motivation went on vacation together. I have been this way for about a week and a half now. Blah. I hope things get better for you and I agree, chocolate always helps! :)

  5. I definitely have weeks like that...the not being motivated and losing my patience part.
I always have the chocolate thing.
I figure, if I am working out hard, that is the least I can do to reward myself! Probably counter productive, but I probably wouldn't work out so hard if I wasn't eating it, so I think it balances out!

  6. Girl, looking at your list, I would be unmotivated too. Good luck. You have a handful of things to get done in a short time. But...you will do it. I know you will. Reward yourself with chocolate after everything you check off. That might help. :) The good kind too.

  7. I always have trouble with motivation! Maybe it means I haven't been eating enough chocolate! :)

I do know what you mean my friend - when I have a list like that is when I go bury my head and do nothing. Then it all happens at the last minute and is very stressful. Only focus on doing 1 thing on your list - list them in order of importance. And of course, have some chocolate!

OK - report back here on your comments what you've done so far by the end of your day. That can be your accountability!

Sending chocolate thoughts your way! Big motivational chocolate hugs to you!!

Come on, I know you can get some stuff done - let's hear what you've done so far! :)

  8. Must be the heat, coz everybody's losing their gumption. I'd gladly send you a big ol' box of chocolate, but it'd be cocoa before it got there.

OK, I know this is stupid, but it's really starting to bug me now. Every time I come here, I have fewer comments than the time before. How can that be?! NO,
    I am not OC!
    I am not OC!
    I am not OC!
    I am not...... 8-}

    Love ya loads, Miss Distracted!
    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

  9. I keep a the snack-size m&ms in my office desk for my quick chocolate fixes. In fact, I'm going to open a bag now.

    Another stessed-out unmotivated chocoholic here....

  10. Thanks for keeping it real, Kimmy. I don't PMS often since I had my hysterectomy, but a few weeks ago I told one of my coworker (friends) that I wanted a block of salt in one hand and a pound of chocolate in the other. She hooted. That time can make you crazy(er).

Hope your motivation comes back soon. I doubt it's made it's way down to Mississippi yet but if it does I'll return it with a pound of M&Ms. Much love!

  11. I get this way from time to time. It's just your brain and body's way of saying that you need a break! Do what is absolutely necessary and the motivation will come back for the rest soon:-)

  12. Go to a Baskin Robbins between 5-10 pm tonight and enjoy their 31 cent scoops of ice cream deal..... Your ("homesteader's") limit is 3 heaping (chocolate) scoops!

    That'll fix ya! My friend is about to come to town, too! You know, the one that stays for 5-7 days!! ( ;

  13. I am right there with you, Kim. I dont' want to do anything this week. I am struggling to function. My list is long and I am tired...going to take a nap now before picking boys up from football practice.

Hope you find it and maybe tell me where mine is too!

  14. You need to keep some coco puffs hiding in the cabinet for times like this a hand full will give you a bit of a rush. Then sit down am relax breath deep. Think of hot fudge Sundays floating by. The get in the car and drive carefully to the nearest place of chocolate and stock up. Life will be better then.

  16. I could cut and paste your entire post and call it my own. Right down to the need to shop for a son's birthday--only my son's birthday is Wednesday.

But still. No ideas. No motivation. Major munchies. Dinner Guests are coming Friday. I envited them thinking it would motivate me to DO something to clean my place up. They've never been here. But no. I just want to curl up with a blanket and watch anything but news.

Maybe our motivations ran away together. I'm going to grab a brownie and head to bed.

Hugs and chocolate wishes coming your way! Lol!
