What if Jesus had a blog!

I was pondering this yesterday morning. I don't know if it's for someone that needs encouragement or not but I interrupt this normally senseless, quirky blog to bring you what's on my heart today.

Well first off, If Jesus had a blog His follower list would make mine look like what a grain of sand looks like on the beach. He wouldn't need spell check or a thesaurus to make Him look smarter. He would simply be who He is, Jesus. We'd love Him for that reason. He would write from His heart. He wouldn't worry about what people think.
Would it make you laugh? Cry? Think? Would you visit it everyday?
Well in a way, Jesus DOES have a blog. In fact He has several. It's us. We Christians who glorify Him in some way on OUR blogs. The church is a body. Some of us are the legs, some the arms, some the feet, etc. Just like some blogs make you think, some laugh, and some cry.
We all blog for different reasons. God made us all different, with different personalities, likes and dislikes.
I know for a fact that the Lord turned my blog into something that I hadn't intended it to be but from what I can see by your comments, it's blessing you.
Don't compare your blog to my blog. We are all going to attract different people for different reasons.
The point is we ALL bring something to this virtual table we call blogland. Don't get discouraged because you only have 3 followers and give up. You are important to those 3 followers and you may be used to encourage them in some way. Who knows? Don't let it be about numbers. If He has called you to blog then just blog from YOUR heart and it'll reach who it needs to reach. Just leave that part up to Him!

I love you my bloggy buddies!!

  1. Very true, my friend! You do shine Jesus...thanks for that!

  2. What a lovely post today. Yeah, Jesus is the original blogger! Bless you.

  3. So true my sweet friend. You are such a blessing to me.

  4. Great post! We are HIS bloggers indeed!

  5. What a neat thing to ponder:-)

  6. You are an encourager Kim! I agree completely. Even our blogging community is made up of different personalities and gifts. And each one is important. It really doesn't matter how many followers we each have, although it can be encouraging to even gain one new follower. After all, we write from our hearts and hope someone is listening. But you have a great point in that maybe that one follower needed to read what you said that day and ...that's what's important. In the blogging process, may we each glorify the Lord in each encounter. Thanks for this Kim.

  7. I couldn't agree more, my precious sister and friend! Love ya bunches!

  8. This is such a sweet post today and I Love seeing your beautiful and precious heart! You truly are a light for Jesus everyday.

    I love you

  9. Great post Kim! I love all of my blogging buddies too! Especially you, of course!

  10. Aw - very sweet thoughts my friend and so true!

I do notice that on my blog when I add Scripture into a post, I get far less comments - but if the Lord puts it on my heart to do it, then I do it!

You are so full of joy and it blesses and encourages those around you!

Big I'm-blessed-to-know-you hugs my friend!! Have a lovely, blessed day!

  11. Kim,

I would completely agree with you! God's blog would be so amazing and you know He would be commenting and lifting people up everytime He visited everyone. He is God and He is like that.

It is true that every person that follows you is someone who found something that spoke to them that they decided to stay. Keep on blogging, you just never know the purpose God has called you to do.

    Love and Hugs ~ Kat

  12. When my baby was a newborn and we struggled with nursing, sleeping, eating, etc., I often wondered, "if Mary had a blog, what would it have contained?".

  13. That is something that is so true, all the awesome people you meet who make you laugh, think, or encourage or challenge you.

I am so glad I met YOU! (And yes, I have been reading The Pioneer Woman's blog, lol!)

  14. I just did an activity with the girls tonight on how to be a light for Christ!!
    Good post.

  15. Kim
I love you too! What an encouraging post!

  16. Oh Kim where did you find that clip art! I need that....My kids nicknames are from pooh. Even Mimi and Papa have been named Eeyore and Rabbit, my husband is Christopher and I am Kanga. I have never seen a picture that grabbed me like this picture

  17. Thank you so much for sharing this. We are definitely to be shining God's light through each and every thing we do including blogging. :D

I really appreciate the time you take to leave a comment. Thank you!
