What I Learned This Week! Uh huh!

As most of you know, I'm without our home computer. Feel free to read the last 5 posts on that drama! Oh yeah, You'll feel sorry for me by the time your done.
I'm at my MIL's un-airconditioned house writing this in 100 degree weather. Can you say dedication? I know you can!
So here we go. You ready?
Ultimately this post couldn't fit ALL the lessons learned but here are a few! And there seems to be a "theme". Can you guess what it is?
This week I learned that....
1. .... my house doesn't get any cleaner because I'm without a computer.
2. .... there is no way I would live in Florida if I had no air conditioning. Nope! No Way! Ain't gonna happen!
3. .....I can sweat in more places on my body just sitting down and typing then I want to admit.
4. ....I REALLY REALLY miss my computer!!!!
5. ...the heat sucks the funny right out of me!
6. ....when you're having an off day and you go to church and there is no air conditioning in the place, it doesn't make it any better!
7. .....you all still love me even though I haven't been able to visit you on a regular basis.
8. ....ice melts really fast when you're sitting at the computer, typing in the heat and go for a swing of "ice" water and realize it's all melted and now room temperature! *sigh*
9. ... I will be unplugging the phone line from my computer even if it "looks" like a storm.
10. ....I could go on all day but I'll stop here.
If you got something to share that you learned this week, head on over to Musings of a Housewife and link up. And while you're there would you put my link on there when she gets her post up cause I'm not sure when I'll see a computer next! LOL!!

  2. Oh but see all the valuable learning that could only happen because you had no computer?! LOL!!

My poor suffering friend...So glad to hear your old computer is working - at least temporarily! Welcome back I hope!!!

Yes, what did people do before A/C?? :)

Love you my friend! Big you-feel-like-you're-out-of-the-loop-'cause-you've-had-no-computer-and-then-had-to-sweat-on-top-of-it-all hugs to you! :)

  4. Let me get this straight...so what you are saying is that No AC is not a good thing in florida? So therefore you probably wouldn't want to buy my van...it has no AC. Maybe that is why the summer up here has been so mild. God was keeping it cool for me. LOL
Hope you are back online soon friend.

  7. I'd like to think that without a computer my house would be spotless. But for real, I doubt it would look any different!

  8. Oh Kim - you make me laugh. I can just see you sitting there typing this out and getting hotter and hotter and more frustrated with every click of the keyboard. :) Hope things are running a bit smoother now. :) I love you my best friend! :)

  10. So glad that you are able to post again! You have been missed!! Sorry for the computer troubles...there is nothing quite like these little electronic boxes to bring the heights of joy or the depths of sorrow into our lives!

Wish I could send you some blocks of ice to sit on while you are at your MIL's! Florida without a/c is not for the timid!!!

    Be blessed, Kimmy...

  11. We often stay at my mother-in-law's place over summer vacation (which has no AC). My husband always tells us to "think cool thoughts..." as we try desperately to get some sleep.

So I feel for you. :)

BTW, I often wondered if my house would be cleaner if I didn't have a computer. It's just what I thought! Lol!
