I'm giving myself a deadline!

I don't like deadlines! It may be the fact that it involves the word "dead" in it. I don't know. At any rate, I don't like them. BUT if I don't give myself a deadline it will never get done. What you ask? My kitchen mini makeover! I need to finish. Only I can finish it. No one else can finish it for me. I have curtains to finish making, a clock to buy to replace the frog clock I have that just doesn't fit the theme any more and the last thing I need to finish I need your help on.
Remember my teaser picture?
Well I have some wall space on the other side that now looks empty. So I'm wondering if you all have any suggestions on what I should put on the other side. If I pick your idea I will give you an extra 2 entries in my giveaway coming up. It can pertain to coffee, chocolate, tea, scripture, etc. Whatever you think might fit. Be creative for me because my mind is kind of mushy right now!

With that said, I'm giving myself till next Thursday to finish my little kitchen makeover. And on that day I will also be having my giveaway.
So be on the lookout my friends and wish me luck! Better yet, say a prayer that I finish everything and find the perfect clock!
LOVE YOU ALL!

  5. I think the other side should read: Laugh until your cheeks hurt! Just like you have on this blog. I can't believe you actually wrote that without a stencil. You have hidden talents girl!

  6. Kim,

How about the label names for the many types of chocolate companies or words that say chocolate in a different language??

Just a thought knowing how much you love chocolate!

  7. I think it should say..."turn on your new sewing machine and make the curtains!!!", LOL...ok, really, I like Kat's idea of chocolate in different languages, OR a scripture about Joy!

  8. Oh, gosh, we're so alike! If I don't have a deadline, my projects become eternal.

How big is your other space? Big enough for a pot rack or too small for more than a wall calendar?

    Love ya loads, sweet tater!
    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

Mothers are those wonderful people who can get up in the morning before the smell of coffee. ~Author Unknown

Man does not live by coffee alone. Have a chocolate.

Ok yes I googled it but these are really quite wonderful little quotes!

  12. How about a deco drawing of a coffee cup, steam rising and forming a dream bubble with chocolate? Or is your space just a strip across the top, like your coffee dreams spot? Do y'all have a Kirkland's down there? You might get some ideas there.

  15. Well, I am finally here. I know you've been waiting - HA! And I finally have a post up though I'm sure you're heading for bed. Sigh.

Good for you for setting a deadline - I need things like that to help me! What if you paint the other wall the same color, but then in the middle (or somewhere eye level) have a frame-sized spot that you paint with chalkboard paint. And then you can write Scriptures or quotes in chalk on that spot and change whenever you want. Plus you can put coffee cup drawings, etc. on that spot. you could make the spot as big as you like! I have no wall space in the kitchen really, but I have thought of painting a cabinet door with chalkboard paint - so fun!

That's about all I have right now my friend and my brain isn't working too well.

Big coffee-dreams-and-chocolate-themes hugs to you!! Have a good night! Or morning - LOL! :)

  18. You can laugh my friend - I was getting in bed but had an idea for your wall. I had to come out to the computer and type it up - LOL!

You could take pictures of some of your coffee cups, then have the photos printed either in full color or maybe sepia tone to go with your color scheme. You could get prints in whatever size would work best - 3x5, 4x6, or 5x7 - and then frame them all in inexpensive frames and put them up!

Whew - just had to get that thought out. You never know...

Now I can go to bed! Good night my friend! :)

  19. Wow, looks great for just eyeballing!!! So are you looking for more words to do or do you want objects? I'm thinking a little collection of coffee/tea pots might look cute, or I like the idea of the tins that have a chocolate theme......
I see this is an older post and you may not see this......
