Oh man. It's been flashback week on FaceBook and I have to tell you, I've been having some fun with it. I was ready to go hunt me down some leg warmers to match my flannel shirt that I'm wearing. Hmmm....flannel leg warmers? Uh, no!
Anyway earlier today I got down my "memory" box and starting looking for a high school picture of me. Well I found a few AND some pictures of old high school chums. So I started getting scanner happy and posting them for them all to see. I'm having way to much fun.

Those of you who are my friend on FB got to see me back in the day. Groovy eh? LOL!
Let's just say a girl should NEVER EVER have a mullet!
So anyway, as I was going through my box o'stuff, I found these.Eddie Money, The Cars, 38 Special, Brian Adams!
Have Mercy! Can you say major MAJOR flashback? Oh the memories a song can bring. Both good and bad. I try to stay with the ones that bring the good ones to mind. And these all do. I haven't seen them in ages.
Oh I remember cruising around in my Nissan Pulsar, with the T-Tops off and listening to Summer of 69 and not a care in the world. Oh to be young and naive'!
Now a days it's Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, Third Day and Mercy Me.
Oh how times have changed.
What kind of songs bring back your good memories?
Okay, okay! I know all of you who don't have a FB want to see a High School graduation picture, don't you? Fine. Don't say I didn't warn you!
And that my friends is why I never got asked out! Ha! Ha!
Sad isn't it?
Now be brave and go show me your flashbacks!!

I think you look cute! When did you decide to let your hair grow long?
ReplyDeleteHow cute you were! AND still are!
ReplyDeleteMy old pics are packed, so I won't be scanning in a flashback. Sorry!
Too cute!!!
ReplyDelete"I want to hold your hand" Beatles
"Don't worry baby" Beach Boys
"The Twist" Chubby Checker
Ricky Nelson - anything, Major crush
The Lettermen
I was always hardcore:)
I think you looked GREAT! But I am biased because you and I are the same age and I am a total product of the 80's:-)
ReplyDeleteWhat? You look great!!
ReplyDeleteI think all of us 80's girls graduated with the same hair doo. I don't have a scanner, or I'd show you mine. I think I had those pants and that shirt, too. Lol!
Gee, you would have totally been my best friend in High School. :)
ReplyDeleteOh 80's music! As much as I don't want to, I still love it! The fondest memories seem to be stirred by Rod Stewart "Forever Young" and Beach Boys "Kokomo" They just make me smile :)
ReplyDeleteHighish hair and bangs..oh my..we "ROCKED" back then?! We can thank Rod Stewart and Pat Benatar for that doo.... ( 8
ReplyDeleteCan you say, "Everybody cut FOOTLOOSE?" Kevin Bacon was de bomb!
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteI love it and all those CD's certainly remind me of my high school days. Ah those were some amazing times.
MY mom is still the possessor of those such things like high school pictures but I will try to get a hold of some and post away. How much fun is this?
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
LEG WARMERS with JORDACHE OR SASSON jeans were "LIKE TOTALLY AWESOME!"
ReplyDeleteLIKE FER SUR if you paired them with sneakers adorned with neon laces and friendship pins, then your outfit would be SERIOUSLY GNARLY and TUBULAR!
What you were in style...you should see my senior pictures. Whoa...scary mint green silk dress with shoulder pads. pretty.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Mimi
Obviously my post was the 60's....not the 80's!!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteLoved 80's music in the 1980's - still love it now!!! But my 17 year old son also loves 80's music which i think is exciting:) !!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I dusted off IE and opened this page instead of just reading in my suubs list. Hey, didn't Bryan Duncan have hair like that a while back? I think all my high school pics have disintegrated by now. Just as well. 8-}
ReplyDeleteCan you believe it's Thursday again?! Is it me or is January half gone already?! Whoosh!
Love ya loads, mullet maid!
Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^
Oh, almost forgot! Thought you might enjoy this...

I love it my fellow Class of '88 friend!! I was lovin' those same CDs and many more too scary to mention - LOL! Whenever I hear 80's music, the songs take me right back. And mullets were cool - I had almost that hairstyle as a freshman I think. I wanted to post some of my pics but no time to scan & play. Maybe soon, 'cause you will get a good laugh! :)
ReplyDeleteI wasn't going to post today, but then just had the opportunity to post to get free toilet paper - LOLOL!! It's not the same as free chocolate, but hey...
Big so-fun-to-look-back-and-see-how-far-we've-come hugs to you!! Have a wonderful evening my totally awesome friend!
Oh - and I like your Valentine's day look on your blog! It would be unacceptable for me not to mention it, being such a big fan and all.
ReplyDeleteI had the same car. I loved 38 special. Sometimes I still listen to them. I am into Christian contemporary now a days too.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even want to show mine on FB. I went for the much younger and cute look! :D
ReplyDeleteI don't know what's funnier! That Eddie Money CD (at least it wasn't an e-track, LOL) or your high school picture! hahahaha!!!!!!!
