Psalms 95:5 The sea is His, for He made it;
This is the Atlantic Ocean. We live right across the street from it on a barrier island.
And as many times as we've been to the beach I am still in awe of how vast the ocean is. As far as the eye can see is nothing but water. And if you've ever had the "pleasure" of viewing this same ocean during a hurricane, it can be a bit daunting.
If you ever want to feel small, stand in front of it.
And if you ever want to feel smaller, look at an aerial map and see that your home is basically sitting on a toothpick right next to it. Talk about having to put your trust in Him.
To comprehend the fact that our God MADE this, is sometimes beyond comprehension.
The cool thing, is that this same God loves US. Can you believe that? Have you thought about that today?
Love you my friends.

Good morning Kim!
ReplyDeleteThis was beautiful, and I enjoyed your thoughts to go with it.
Been missing you! I need to get back here this Friday~
Love that...
ReplyDeleteHow amazing that He loves me! He knows the number of hairs on my head - gray or not. :D Great verse and pic to go with!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post to read first thing in the morning.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Beautiful. I miss the ocean. I was born and raised on Long Island, right outside of NYC and spent most of my 20's there. I too, was ALWAYS in awe of the ocean and always wondered how people could look at something so amazing and not believe in the Lord.
ReplyDeleteNow I am a few hours away but have the mountains to look at... and still get that same feeling. Although nothing compares to the ocean. ENJOY it for me
xoxo
That's always been my favorite part of going to the beach...thinking of the awesomeness in God's hand at His creation! wow.
ReplyDeleteYou know I love and miss the ocean, so thanks for making my day with this great photo.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I'm with you, just watching the ocean (even when there's not a hurricane) will bring an awareness of God's awesome power.
Have a wonderful day.
Love,
Patti
Oh Kim,

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful reminder - isn't that so true? We are so small and yet He loves us so much. Little old us...
I just want to jump into that ocean right now - it's going to be 95 degrees here today!
I love the ocean, we are going in August. My favorite is to sit and soak in His presence, it is so amazing!!

I too love the ocean Kim. Every time I see the waves crash on the shore, I'm reminded of how awesome our Creator really is.

The ocean is a beautiful place to be. When on a cruise with no land in sight, it seems endless - reminding me of God's endless love for His children.
