I just thought you’d like to see a few pictures from our Thanksgiving. Because you would right?
This is me taking the apple crisp out of the oven. And then swiftly dumping it all over the oven door. And then my husband coming to the rescue with a spoon and a steady hand. *Sigh* And in case you’re wondering, we did eat it and it was delicious. :-)
This is my beautiful AND delicious formerly brined and then roasted turkey. “BEFORE”
And the “AFTER”
I volunteered my cousin to carve the bird this year as my hubby was busy doing something else. I love the way he put it in the pan. Too cute! If turkey can be cute.
Here’s the table setting. Nothing fancy.
Yummy dessert. VERY important.
I’m guessing my hubby took this picture since he’s nowhere at the table.
And then there’s my son standing in my office with a turkey leg. Yeah, long story.
Well I hope you had fun peeking into our Thanksgiving. I’m sure if you’re like me you are now in full Christmas swing mode.
How was your Thanksgiving? Did you have any mishaps?

The carving job was magnificent! Nice things about apple cobbler is that it doesn't have to look neat to be tasty! :)
ReplyDeleteI loved this whole post! There is never a dull moment at your place, LOL. We went up to KY and stayed at a historic inn for the Thanksgiving holiday. No mishaps, thank goodness!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you keep it real on this blog! Looks like you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I loved the way the bird was carved, too. Taking notes on that one!
