I’ve been joining in on this 100 Days of Happy thing going around and it’s been really fun. What you do is you post a picture of what is making you happy that day on your Facebook page, Instagram or your blog each day for 100 days. You can start whenever you want and just go for 100 days. I mean you don’t have to stop at 100 days it’s just a goal to set for yourself to make you stop and be more aware of what’s making you happy that day.
I’ve been mainly posting my pictures on my Homesteader’s Heart Facebook page and some on my Instagram but today I felt the need to blog about this particular happy moment.
My 8 year old loves to draw and color pictures and then hand them out to people. Whenever we have a get together he has his pictures all ready to hand out to anyone who enters. He spends hours drawing picture after picture.
Well last Sunday he decided to bring a few of them to the new church we’ve been attending. We hardly know a handful of people by name yet but he bravely handed his pictures to a few ladies that stood still long enough to receive one.
Fast forward to today. We went to church and one of the ladies that our son had given a picture to came up and said how much she was blessed by his picture and how timely it was on a day that things just weren’t going so well for her and she wanted us and him to know how much it had truly touched her. She actually started to tear up.
Well I can’t tell you how much that blessed this momma’s heart. Our son doesn’t realize it but that’s his ministry right now. No one ever told him to do it he just started doing this on his own. It’s so neat to see God using him in a small but mighty way and it just fills my heart with joy.
So today, that was the thing that made me happy. VERY happy.
If you’d like to join in on the happy. Just use the hashtag #100HHDays I created for this and share on your Instagram or FB page. I’d love to see what’s making YOU happy each day.
XOXO,
Kim
That is so precious! Our Pastor was just talking about this kind of ministry this morning. He said you don't need a special title or be on a committee to do what God has called you to do. Just take the gift you've been given and get out there and use it. I think children hear God's voice so much more clear than we do sometimes. They just do what he says to do. Blessings!
