I like pretty things. I like making not so pretty things, pretty. Why can’t functional things be pretty? They can and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. *smile*
As most of you know (if you follow my FB page) I’ve been working hard on transforming my craft/homeschool space. There is going to be a series of posts leading up to the reveal but it’s been a labor of love, that’s for sure.
But one thing I can show you now is the little project that I did to make my work table just a wee bit cuter.
First, here is Exhibit A, my work table.
Here it is after it’s been cutesified.
Didn’t it just make it super adorable? It goes so well in my new space. All I did was buy me some oilcloth, cut it and have my hubby staple it to the underside.
I love that oilcloth wipes off so easy and is so durable. I have some left over that I’m going to use to make placemats for my kitchen table. I’ll show ya when I’m done.
Have you used oilcloth in your decorating before and if so for what?
Have a lovely day my friends.
XOXO,
Kim
Love it! So practical. I would have thought of using it as a tablecloth but not actually permanently covering it.
ReplyDeleteI love the transformation, Kim! And the fabric is fun and vibrant - just like you!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it! We're in the process of remodeling my Grandpa's camper and the table needs to be re-done. I'm going to show this post to my hubby and see if we can do something like this which would save us some $$$ and time. You'll have to check out latest post showing before and after pics, if you have time :)
