Thankful Thursday

This week I find myself thankful for the people you probably normally wouldn't find yourself thinking about.

I'm thankful for the tellers at the bank who recognize me and don't ask for my license every single time I cash a check. And for the Otis Spunkmeyer cookies they have on Friday in the lobby. "woot woot"

I'm thankful for my OB/GYN ,(yeah I know) we have a blast every time I "have" to go. She delivered my 11lb.2.5 oz butterball and still talks about it to this day. That's another story.

I'm thankful for the Hungry Howie's Pizza guy that stands at the corner and uses his sign as a guitar and makes everyone smile who goes by. I don't know if it's bringing in the business but he sure is entertaining while waiting at the red light.

I'm thankful for the lady at our local health food store who is always willing to share information and in return listen to things that I've discovered on health.

All and all I'm thankful for anyone who makes my life a little easier on the outside and who does it with a smile!

Blessings my friends.

  1. It is so easy to forget all the people who make our lives easier - thank you for reminding me of that. I'll be making a special effort to say "Thanks" to everyone who plays a part in my life from now on.
    God bless your thankful heart!

  2. What a great reminder to be thankful for those people who are faithful to do their job and in turn make our lives better. Great post.

By the way I appreciate your comment on my site the other day. I too could have easily nominated you, but tried to steer clear of the ones Karen had nominated. I do enjoy your blog very much.

  9. I like how you've expressed gratitude for so many little things that people might not even notice (like the pizza guy and his "guitar" sign). If we choose thankfulness it keeps us from self-pity, and in the words of D. A. Carson, "self-pity de-gods God."

  10. Thanks for visiting me today. You beat me..my butterball weighed 10lbs 14oz. My OB/GYN called him "Jake the Tank" and the whole hospital (not just the baby floor) was talking about him. When my grandmother asked at the front desk of the hospital about where to find our room, they said, "Oh. she's the one who had the biiiggg baby." Anyway, wow to 11lb.2.5oz's.

I love thankfulness for the things others overlook...and you should definitely tell the bank tellers about it...trust me most retail workers never get thanked.

    Blessings,

    Amanda
