Amanda over at I am Mommy has honored me with the Share the Love award.
This award originated from Memoirs of a Mommy, and the rules for sharing the love are simple.
SHARE THE LOVE!!! Share this award with the blogs out there that you love. The people who make you smile, who make you laugh, who make your day, who leave uplifting comments for you! She simply asks you to leave a link to her post with the award, and ask your recipients to do the same.
I've decided to share this award with my most faithful commentors. These are the people that no matter what silly thing I post they have a kind word to say and they take the time to say it. It's very uplifting to know that people care about your small stuff too lol. So here are my 4 choices in no particular order.....
Lisa J at My New Thing to Do- Lisa always has something kind to say. I can count on a note from her almost every day! She is a retired police officer and shows a great love for her family.
Denise at Shortybears Place- She has such a sweet spirit about her and it reflects on her kind words. Her blog is very cute to.
Donna at Cottage Days and Journeys- She is very encouraging and always takes the time to stop by and say a little something. I met her through the Brenda's Photo challenge. She takes spectacular pictures of her journeys.
Kristi at Kiki's Corner- I've tried not to repeat giving awards but had to give this one to Kristi. She and I have hit it off and I so look forward to reading what's going on in her life. Her family adventures make me laugh because they are so close to heart lol.
Well there you have it.my 4 choices. As hard as it always is to narrow it down to just 4 I did it.
Update on my blog makeover. I'm not going to mess with it for a few days because of trying to get these rooms switched over. Painting when your angry doesn't really work. It just never seems to come out as neat lol! The rooms are coming along nicely. We should be finished by next Tackle it Tuesday, so be looking out for that.
Last night we had a major thunderstorm. I was once again reminded of why we are the lightening capital. Let me tell you something, nothing stops a stream of pee quicker then a lightening strike right out side your window...you know what I'm saying? Needless to say the sleep was broken up over the night hours. So I'm going to go get my coffee and let these fine bloggers know they won their award.
Blessings,

LOL - good thing we are night owls, the thunderstorm was just ending when we hit the hay, lol. :)
ReplyDeleteWasn't that something though? NOISY!
Your words are very kind, your spirit is very uplifting and your attitude is hillarious! I love reading your blog and I thank you as well for all your comments left on mine. Isn't that what friends are for. It just amazes me how people connect, how we have things in common, how we start to care for one another very quickly. It shows the true power of communications. The power of an open heart and being non-judgemental. We really know nothing about each other when we become friends, we open our hearts and our homes (lives) and see the rewards we reap? Blogging is truly food the soul also. Thank you for being a part of my diet!
ReplyDeleteI'm cracking up over the whole "p" thing and painting when your angrything. I'm thankful that ya'll are ok.
ReplyDeleteAn award for me? Thank you! I'm so excited and so blessed by our friendship. I look forward to reading your blog every morning too.
God shines beautifully through you and your sweet blog. I just love seeing what He is doing in your life.
Blessings to you my sweet, fun, hilarious, friend!
Goodness gracious! Yesterday was a long and tiring day, filled with some turmoil for us. So your thoughtfulness comes at just the right time. Thank you for your sweet kindness! I will continute to cheer you on!
ReplyDeleteReading your blog is like eating potato chips. I just wonder what you are going to say next, LOL! The only advice I can give you on determining your blog's direction and theme is to perhaps write it out. Just start jotting down some notes, making a bullet list. Do you want to inspire? Do you want to share insight and wisdoms? Do you want to connect with others? Do you want to make people laugh and find joy? What is it that you like on other blogs? What do you not like? Pretend you are a visitor, looking at your writings with a different set of eyes! Having a clear sense of purpose will give you direction, so you are on the right track.
In my case, I could probably have about a dozen blogs, each to address a different part of my personality and values. But there aren't enough hours in the day, LOL. If you look inside your heart, read your past posts, and look for the common threads, the answer will be there.
lol....stream of pee...too funny!
ReplyDeleteAs far as your heading goes... I really like it and hope you might consider keeping it? But whatever you choose will be wonderful and fitting.
Many blessings-
Amanda
Too funny... glad you survived the storm. And glad I could be of assistance. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
ReplyDeletehmmmmm...Homesteaders Heart.....Hmmmmm....the beach....hmmmmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteWell, could it be that since you live by the ocean, and home is where the heart is...maybe you can tie it together that way. Maybe a sunset or sunrise over the beach with the sunshine in the shape of a heart. I dunno...I know you can make it work.
So what's up with painting while you're angry? Whaz up?
I've got to go to the grocery store...but I had a little fun playing w/ a blog theme idea for you. If you'll email me, I'll send you the template.
