Works For Me Wednesday

Rocks in my Dryer is on hiatus this week but I still wanted to post my thingy so here it is!
For this weeks Works-for-Me-Wednesday I want to show you one of my favorite gadgets. It's my bread slicer. For anyone that makes homemade bread this thing is indispensable. Unless you are one of those people who can cut a perfect slice every time. I know I'm not one of those people. They may have invented this just for me. Now before you start getting excited and doing google searches for this most excellent gadget, check your local Thrift Store. My Mom spotted this beauty at ours and it only cost $1.99. If you look closely you can see the tag on the side lol! I like to constantly remember the bargains I get.

Now for just pure enjoyment.........a loaf of my bread! I know I know, you just can't wait. I knew this and because I care about you all I thought I'd throw it in for pure eye candy!
Well I'm off to see what works for you!!!
Blessings my friends,

Psst! Take my poll on the left side bar! I need your help.

  2. The bread looks so good. How often do you bake bread and just where do I come to get some of your home cooking? LOL

I voted for change to your blog, but not because there is anything wrong with it. I voted for change because I had fun changing mine up Sat night. I am a person that gets bored after a while and need something new and different. So I do like change.

  3. I can't slice bread well either. I just pass it over to hubby, who slices it, LOL!

  4. Oh so not fair!!!! Can't you just drop me a loaf in the mail???
I like the change but I also liked your other blog page. So really it is up to you. I like to change things up once in a while too.

  6. I do make my own bread, but somehow other people's bread (ehem, like yours) looks SSOOOO yummy!

Do you mill your own wheat, too?

I will have to find me one of those slicers. Too many tims I've sliced off a "block" of bread, or it's so thin that it's translucent.

    That's bad, right?

  7. If I email my address, will you send me a freshly baked loaf of bread? No slicing, it'll get stale before arriving! :)
