Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY...September 15, 2008...

Outside my window....as always it's still very dark, still and quiet. My favorite time of day!

I am thinking .....about how I love the beginning of a new week. New things to accomplish and goals to strive for.

I am thankful for.....God's protection from the hurricanes this year (so far). That could have been us getting hit by Ike and my prayers go out to those people. We've felt their pain.

From the kitchen....I made 2 loaves of banana bread, 1 loaf of wheat bread and homemade pizza yesterday. Today the crockpot is getting plugged in lol.

I am wearing....my red pajamas that say Happy Hollydays lol. I love my Christmas pj's.

I am creating.....a fall table cloth for my table to get ready for fall decorating.

I am going....to the gym today. I really need to get on the ball with the holidays coming up!

I am reading....a wonderful E-book from Kimberly Eddy.

I am hoping....that we get our cottage in the backyard finished before my parents come down from Maine.

I am hearing.....the air conditioner roaring 4 feet away from me.

Around the house....everyone is still sleeping and it's very quiet. I am going to start brewing coffee.

One of my favorite things...is eating dinner as a family. I love that time together.

A few plans for the rest of the week..... Finish my table cloth, make a few purses to put on our website, bake bread as needed, go to the gym every day this week. That's just the extra stuff if I have time lol.

Here is a picture thought I'm sharing....This is Pemaquid Lighthouse in Bristol Maine. It's one of the few lighthouses that you can still walk up into in the United States. The view was spectacular. The coast of Maine is breathtaking. I had forgotten how beautiful it was. Growing up as a kid you don't appreciate the beauty as much as when you are an adult. I got lucky with this picture as to not get any people in it, as they were scattered throughout the area. The clouds seemed to cooperate as well creating a nice backdrop for the scene.

  14. Thanks for the peek into your day! Hope you have a wonderful one, Kim. My crockpot is plugged up today. I filled it with roast, potatoes, carrots and onion soup mix since I didn't want to have onion hands for work today. Supper will be ready when we get home and the kids come for their traditional Monday night visit. Love it when the nest is full!
