Works For Me Wednesday-The Wonderful World of Binders

Binders. I just love them. I have quite a few binders. I have a Home Management Binder, a Christmas Binder, a few binders that hold my ebooks, a recipe binder and we use binders for my kids scrap-booking home school pages.

These are some of my binders.

I love my Home Management binder. Every one that has one has their own things in it that are important to them. My categories are as follows.
In the very front I have a pencil bag with sharpened pencils, erasers, highlighters etc.
1. My Daily Routine -Here I put my reminders and daily activities.
2. Calendar
3. Meal Planning
4. Food Budget
5. Herbs
6. Phone numbers, addresses, websites and passwords.
7. Blank pages for quick ideas or whatnot.
Organized Home
has some nice free printables. You can find them here.

Last year I bought an ebook called The 12 week Holiday Planner by Sheri Graham
I loved it so much last year. I am going to use it again this year as you can keep printing out new sheets year after year when needed.
You can find that here. She is offering it on sale TODAY! She also shows you some sample pages to check out before you buy. I highly recommend.

My other binders house my many ebooks that I have collected these last few years. I place the header sheet in a plastic sleeve and put a tab on it with the name of the ebook.

Binders are also great to put all those recipes that you've printed off the computer and have all over the place. Just simply apply the same rule. Arrange them in categories of main meal, desserts, side dishes etc. and slap them in your binder.

Well I hope this has encouraged you to give binders a try. I am so much more organized after doing this. But the point of doing this is to actually use them when you are done.
To see what else works for others hop on over to Rocks in My Dryer.

Blessings my friends.

  3. Kim,

I have soooo many binders! I love to be organized and this just helps me so much. Especially with all of the schooling.

I haven't done a recipe one yet, that's a good idea. Can you tell where my struggles are? tee hee I usually write down new recipes and put them in my cookbooks. Then they're lost.

Have a great Wednesday! Blessings to you sweet one.

  4. I wish I was more organized, but that is not going to happen around here any time soon. We are so packed into this house that is killing me. I have to decided if we are going to stay in this little house after having a house twice as big and downsizing. I think when you "downsize" you are suppose to cull out aren't you?

  5. My name is Leanne and I have a binder addiction. Love how neat and tidy yours look. Mine are lying everywhere. Now if I could figure out a way to organise the binders I'd be laughing.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, I'll be back here again.

  11. I'm a binder baby, as well. I have one for bank papers, one for home improvement receipts and warranties, one for debts, one for recipes, etc, etc, etc. I recently got 4 new ones on sale at Office Depot coz they had some funky mod designs. They're sitting in a corner waiting for me to figure out what to do with them. 8-}

    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

  12. Do you keep a binder of friends who do not use binders? Or howza bout a binder of unorganized friends. It would be a thin, 1/2 inch one, certainly, but IIIIIIIIII would be in it. You're amazing. ;0

  14. Yeah, I thought about the whole "selling them" thing, but then I thought by the time that season would come, they would be so worn out that they woudn't really be worth selling anyway...but maybe your kids treat them better than mine!

  17. I just started printing out my recipes and putting them in the clear bindersheets so if I do spill on them when cooking it's not a big deal. And I also tag them with little post it notes with the day written on them when I do my menu, like on the recipe for meatloaf I have a post it that says monday, etc. Then I just move the days around for the next week. I also have a Holiday Planner and I am working on the Household book. I use colorful patterned paper from my scrapbook stash to make the binders fun!
