Thankful Thursday- Laughter

Proverbs 17:22

22 A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

This week I'm dedicating this to what or who makes ME laugh! I'm usually the goofball making people laugh but I too LOVE to laugh so here are a few things that give me the giggles.

1. Barney Fife from the Andy Griffith Show
2. Christian comedian Chonda Pierce
3. My kids (DAILY).
4. My best friend and I when we get going on some tangent, (which happens almost daily, AT THE GYM, and usually involves chocolate!)
5. Comedian Mark Lowry
5. Okay this is a slight plug for my Meme but it's true, all the things that you all have linked up on Friday Funnies have cracked me up. I so look forward to it. You are welcome to join us here on Friday's. Come and check it out tomorrow.
6. My Dad, yup my Dad. He has some of the best one liners of any man I know. I think it's a New England thing. I told my husband when he gets down here I'm going to write them all down and publish them lol.
7. Some of my blogger buddies. I read some really funny posts from some of you and it's always such a joy.
This list could go on a long time because I so enjoy laughing and things just seem to find me that are funny.
Happy Thankful Thursday! To read others visit Grace Alone and check them out.

Blessings my friends.

I look forward to getting together with you! I think we would giggle ...a lot! Especially if it had chocolate involved!

Blessings to you this beautiful Thursday!

  3. And I thank God for the humor you bring into my life. I listened to both youtube videos and just about wet my britches when Chonda said John Edwards couldn't even have reached him, LOL! Happy TT!

  5. My list would have been nearly identical. I just unpacked a Mark Lowry tape last night and we all cracked up over it. I think DS's favourite line of all time is 'It weren't no just wet one!'

  8. Kim,

Thank you for all the sweet comments and how you cherish laughter. I believe it is one of God's greatest gifts to us outside of grace! Medicine to our souls comes through laughter!

    In His amazing grace,
    Jill

  9. I agree. Barney Fife is a hoot. One of my favorites is "Barney Singing in the Choir". He thinks he's some great singer, but he's really not, so they have someone else sing a great barritone part, with Barney barely whispering on the microphone. Barney thinks it's his voice sounding so gorgeous, and you know, that sniff of pride and arrogance that he does so well. You gotta see that one. You'll laugh hysterically.

    Have a great day,
    Patti
