A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22

Be Watchful!

My friends. This has been a bad week for me. I can't go into detail but let me tell you that Satan is on the prowl. Guard your hearts, your marriages, your children. Don't let him get a foothold. Also I would covet your prayers right now. Pray for strength and comfort. My family is fine and my marriage strong. It's other issues right now that are very close to my heart.

1 Peter 5:8

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Ephesians 6:10-19

The Whole Armor of God
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

  3. Sweet friend, I am praying for you. I have thought about you several times this week wondering how your tests turned out. My blood work came out fine, but I'll see another doctor after Christmas. May the God of peace and comfort guard your heart and your mind today.

  10. Hey, sweet thang! I've not been home a lot the past few days, so no time for commenting. But I am reading and you are definitely in my prayers. {{{{{{KIM}}}}}}}}}}

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him. - Nahum 1:7

We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed. - 2 Corinthians 4:8,9

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. - Hebrews 4:16

    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

  12. Lifting you up in prayer, Kim.

The enemy is looking for anyone he can devour. This time of year with the already stress of holidays, add the economy, loss of jobs, issues that are trying so hard to destroy our children and our marriage...we have to stand our ground, stand on the Word of God and remember this is spiritual warfare that we are in and under right now.

Our pastor was talking about sacrifical praise today. Even in the midst of the attacks from the enemy...we are to give God praise.

I love these scriptures...stand strong and know that we are lifting you up, carrying you to the very throne of God today, my friend.

  13. I will stop and say a prayer for you and your family right now. God does not let us go through things alone. Just like he was with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednigo in the fiery furnace, he is with us through our trials also.
    Love in Christ,
    Judy

  15. Huge Texas-sized hugs and prayers, sweet Kim. We must be ever so vigilant.

One encouragement that our pastor recently reminded us of is that God is omni-present and Satan isn't. While God can be everywhere at once, Satan cannot. Of course he has his helpers, but it gives me encouragement when the persecution is dark. Have been and will continue to pray, dear Kim.

  17. So with you on this!
The enemy does NOT like us drawing near to God. He enjoys attacking us where we are most sensitive.
I will pray for you as you continue to bind the enemy. May God put a hedge of continual protection over your home.

  18. Kim, I'm catching up from my husband's health situation. I will pray for you. You are so right that the devil is always here trying to attach. God is faithful and He will win the war. Satan wins a few of the battles along the way, but I know God will win in the end. Prayer is a mighty, mighty weapon.
