Works For Me Wednesday

Happy Wednesday everyone. For this weeks Works for Me Wednesday I have something that my husband made me about 3 Christmas' ago. I can't say that he developed it but he did "make" it. It's a really cool cookbook holder. I love to cook! But, alas, I'm a messy cook. Just the other day my husband looked up at the ceiling and was wondering how in the world I got spaghetti sauce up there, but we won't get into that right now, will we? No you want to see what's working for me today don't you? So here we go.
Here is the lovely cookbook holder doing its job! I like this because it holds the book up so you can read it better. It actually has 3 adjustable levels of slant so you can have it for what best suits you. Plus I don't end up getting "shrapnel' all over it this way!
This is the side view to show you how you can adjust it.
And when not in use it hangs neatly against the wall. You can't beat that for a space saver.
I did manage to find a few neat cookbook holders that you might be interested in. Just click here, here and here to check them out.
To check out what's working for other people go to visit Rock in My Dryer.

Be sure to come back this Friday for Friday Funnies. Guaranteed a good laugh.
Hugs.

  1. I need one of these. I have a plastic one that I got at the office supply store. I figured it would be good because Fellowes is a good brand, but it's not nearly as sturdy as this one looks.

  10. What an excellent thing! How nice of your husband to make you one! I think I have a similar one around here somewhere - I'll have to look though I usually don't even have enough counter space to use it. My cookbook ends up being on a table and I have to walk back and forth.

I like the holders in the links with the plastic splash guard - that is definitely what I need as I am also a very messy cook.

Have a wonderful day, my friend!

  14. I have a cookbook holder too. I LOVE it. However, I leave mine on the counter (it is rather decorative), so when I'm not using it to hold a cookbook, I put a pretty plaque on it...or just leave a seasonal cookbook out.

    Love,
    Patti

  18. The Charlotte Mason feature sounds WONDERFUL! I can't wait. Just let me know what you plan on what days. If you need any other ideas, just let me know! Living books can go with narration - narration is usually a big topic with CMer's because many people don't know how to do it (though it's SO simple). It'll be good to get the word out on the different ways to narrate. Oooh I'm so excited!
