What did I Learn This Week?

I know you all wait eagerly for this day of the week when I announce what I've learned so you can glean and learn without the hassle of doing it yourself. You're Welcome! I'm sure that none of you would want to learn the lessons I learned this week. I pretty much learned them all yesterday! You'll see why I couldn't possibly remember anything before that! They were brutal! Hee! Hee!

This week I learned that...

1. ..when your computer acts up and you can't access your friend's blogs, you will have more fun going boating then staring at your computer! See I'll show you.
This is me staring at my computer.
This is me chillin' out and
and staring at this, the Atlantic Ocean.
And then playing on this. One of many islands in the Indian River.
I also learned that your boys can have their life jackets on long after you've been off the boat and you won't notice until you look back at pictures! Oh well, they didn't complain.
I learned that I still love to fish!
I also learned that about the time this picture was taken it was too late to add any more sunblock as I was pretty fried on my shoulders and the back of my neck! Uh, yeah! Ouch!
The learning continues as I learned that a wet boxer is just as cute as a dry boxer! I love you Stormie!!
I learned that my daughter makes a pretty cute hood ornament! And last but not least. I learned that when you are bringing your boat back to the dock you never know what you are going to see. Check this out!
Yes, it is a boat/truck. We thought this guy was on drugs when we pulled up to the dock as it was driving into the river. And then it started to "drive" around. Cool huh? We have video of it but I didn't want to overwhelm you with everything.

So did you learn anything this week? Go check out Musings of a Housewife and link up and see what others have learned!
Hopefully I'll be able to visit you all today. The computer seems to be acting a little better!

  1. How fun! We get to see the ocean in 5 days and I can hardly wait! We have been counting the days since November! Your daughter looks so much like her momma. Blessings to you!

  2. Looks like you had a great outing! See, that is MUCH better than staring at a computer screen, hahaha!!!!

  3. Love the pictures. I miss our boat.

I was picked for The Honest Things award and now I am passing it along to you. Since I love your blog and your humor.

By the way cold milk on a towel will take the stink out of sunburn. I use it all the time.

  4. Wow! What fun! Thanks for stopping by my blog to enter the giveaway!

  5. Great lessons, and I am impressed by how many photos of you there are in this post!

  6. By the way, you are stealing my readers again, just so you know. :)

Hmmm, computer screen or boating on the ocean - such a tough tough choice - LOL!! Wait, I mean JASG!

Looks like you had so much fun my friend! What a lovely day!! Glad you shared the pics!

Big you-might-be-a-redneck-if-your-truck-is-also-your-boat hugs to you!! :)

  7. I enjoyed this! Your face is so funny starring at that computer. I laughed as I thought of how I must look at times (smile).

    Boat/truck? That's interesting!

    Loved the photos!

  8. You are too funny! Love the photos and even the one of you befuddled by your computer. I say yes, go boating. That sounds more fun! I miss the ocean. :(

  9. Definitely more fun boating then starring at your computer. Nice sunburn...ouch...I hope you will tan and not peel. :)
    Cool truck boat too.

  10. Now let me get this straight... Your computer was down?! And you lived? How is that even possible?

  11. My grandfather used to say that the best life lessons were learned in a boat.. LOL.. looks like you proved that point!!

Glad you had a good time.

  12. Looks like fun. I had computer problems last week also.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I just posted my last Disney post...Hope it will bring you a smile. I also have a new blog design.....

  13. That looks like so much fun. I burned on my shoulders last week-- but only at a school event, not on a boat (sadly).

  14. Looks like a super fun time! LOVE the truck/boat. I won't show it to my husband, because I KNOW he would want one!!

  15. Looks like you all had such a fun time!

I love your boxer!! I had two ~ both puppies and within a very short time of getting them went into the hospital for 10 days and my DH gave them to a friend.....BROKE MY HEART!! I have finally forgiven him ;) but I WILL have another someday!

    Blessings my friend!

  16. I learned that a truck can also be a boat! Wow that was cool!

Looks like you had a great time boating. We had a boat when I was young. It was a blast!

  17. This is the boat you are selling, right? I don't know. Looks like a good day ... having fun on the boat.

We bought a boat last year. Long story short? Took it on the Indian River, broke down, in the shop for months and $2,000, took it on the Indian River, it was fine. Next? 11 miles out. Engine died 5 miles back. Came back in on a kicker engine. Took it to a different (recommended) mechanic who said, "I could fix it, but I wouldn't feel good about it." It is "uneconomically repairable."

That was a very expensive lesson. Thankfully, we did not finance the boat, we paid cash for it (bonus $). So at least we aren't STILL paying for our mistake. That would be a hard check to write every month.

That truck in the water reminded me of my "What I've Learned" post. When I was a teenager, I parked my car on the beach - at low tide.

  18. Great pictures. Where do I get one of those boats! How fun!

  19. I sooooo miss the ocean. Great pics!

That boat truck is too funny! LOL!

  20. My computer hasn't been so nice to me this week either! Hmmm, better now!! The truck in the water, are you kidding me!

I really appreciate the time you take to leave a comment. Thank you!
