Weekend Recap!

WARNING: LOTS AND LOTS OF PICTURES WITH CAPTIONS! ENTER AT OWN RISK!
I sure hope everyone had a Happy 4th of July! I sure did and I know you want to hear about it. We had my some bloggy friends who are real life friends and their families over for a BBQ.
I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.

Here I am striking a pose. Notice how NOT tired and greasy I am! Yeah, I'm setting myself up for later! LOL.
Here's my simple table setting.
Here are us ladies. Me, Kathy from Blessed Beyond Imagination and Debra from Clothed with Scarlet. Don't we look sweet?
It was HOT but we did manage to play some horse shoes, throw some tomahawks and play croquet. Here they are seeking refuge in the shade.
We then came in to cool off and eat. We LET it rain for a little while, because we knew it would cool off a LITTLE and be done with before nightfall.

It stopped raining and so we then walked over to the beach. I thought this guy might be posing for some magazine so I figured I better take his picture because he might be famous but upon closer inspection I realized it was just Debra's husband. LOL. Cool picture though huh? Yeah I got mad picture skills! LOL. Oh I crack myself up!
Here are the "boys" doing some fishing. My hunk is on the right, Debra's in the middle, Kathy's is on the left and my 2 youngest were doing their best fish calls.
Meanwhile the older kids acted as shark bait. Just kidding. They were having a great time and the water was actually quite clear.

Remember I mentioned earlier how not tired I was, well right about here I started to look tired, greasy and from this picture a bit psychotic. But we still had more to do! And this was 1 of about 30 pictures Kathy and I took trying to look cute. But we finally gave up and here you have it!
We walked back home, ate a bit more and then lit off some Wally World specials, all the while becoming personal blood banks for the mosquitoes, which finally drove us inside.
But that didn't slow us down, oh no. We whipped out the guitars and yes that's Josh playing my daughters pink guitar. He actually played us the song he wrote for his Mom while she was in the hospital. Then my husband grabbed his guitar, my daughter grabbed my son's guitar, we handed Jay some bongos and we had a little praise and worship session. A perfect ending to a perfect day!
I then crashed hard on my bed and slept in until 8 o'clock the next morning!
I hope you all enjoyed my little flash back. Now we are having our missionary friends and their family over today and we get to do it all over again! LOL. I'm already tired just thinking about it!
BIG HUGS!!
