A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22

Whoa! This is all new to me!

This new computer is really neat. I’m actually writing this from something called Windows Live. I’m not really sure how I got here though! LOL. All I wanted to do is edit a picture and somehow I’m here and typing this blog post to see what’s going to happen. Are you laughing at me? I’m so not high tech and I can see that this new computer is going to throw this gal for a loop with all it’s “new” and “improved” gadgets and gizmos. I’m a bit scared. I don’t know where this post is going to end up! LOL. Has anyone ever used Windows Live Writer and if so is it worth trying to figure out?

And I thought I didn’t have anything to write today. Go figure! All I had to do is start messing around with the computer, feel a little stupid and Voila’, a blog post is born! Since you all are here, maybe you all know of a good photo editing program. I need one. Not seeing that this computer came with one. Is there something online or software that is good and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg like Photoshop!?

Okay so I’m going to publish this and see what happens. I wonder if I’ll sound smarter from here then through blogger! Hmmm…..

BIG HUGS

I have it on my computer. Haven't really "learned" it yet, but it's free and supposedly fairly popular!

  2. I use Picasa...it's not the most robust, but it does have some solid editing features, has a very easy upload/share to Picasa web feature, and best of all...it's FREE! Have fun discovering your new computer!

  5. Hey there -
I have Windows Live and love it. Look for Windows Live Writer - you can import your blog settings and write posts from there. It allows you to crop, frame, tilt and so much more the photo's you want to add to your blog. I love it.

Also, for photo editing, I just picked up Corel Photo Album 7 at Office Depot. It's FREE after rebate!!! I Googled it and it got great rewards. I'm waiting for my new laptop to come in to load it up though.

Have fun with your new stuff.

Also - go to Microsoft's web site and look for Tutorials for the Windows Live - it will help you A lot!!
You can also google tutorials and watch videos on how to use it :-)

  7. You are brave my friend!! I don't know about photo-editing - I'm still in the dark ages on that. I barely do anything to my photos and I open them in paint - LOL! Your commenters have already suggested some good free programs though.

Guess I better go do my packing and cleaning now. Hope you have a fabulous day!

Big Live hugs that could go anywhere! :)

  8. Hey, I use Corel (formerly Jasc) Paint Shop Pro. It's almost as good as Photoshop. I'm pretty sure I have a disc from a previous version. I'd be happy to send it to you, assuming I can find it... pretty sure I have a clue where it is.

    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^
