A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22

Oh, I just couldn't resist!

I mean who could? Just aisles and aisles of school supplies. Did we need them? No! And?
I admit it, I have a thing for pencils and papers and notepads and sticky notes and envelopes and packages of pens and loose leaf paper and paper clips and highlighters. It's so bad that at Christmas time my husband stuffs my stocking with office supplies. Yup! You heard me, office supplies. I love em'.

I picked up a few more but this is all I'm admitting to. But if you could only see the inside of my desk drawers.......Have mercy! LOL!
Have you seen the Triangular Crayons? They are the bomb! Highly recommend. They don't roll off the table and I think they are easier to hold.
I have no idea why I got the 5 subject notebook. I just think I had fond memories as a teenager buying and using it for school. I think it makes me feel a little smarter and more organized. I probably won't ever use it! Ha! Ha!

Does anyone else have this fetish? Anyone? I get a little more every time I'm in Wal-Mart. You'd think it was chocolate or something.
Just stop me before I buy a Hannah Montana folder, will you please?

Once again I confess to you, my blogging buddies. Make sure you hold me accountable for my school supply purchases.
You do come here to laugh! Don't you? LOL!!
This is my life and this is what I do. Thanks for coming along for the journey!!!
HUGS!

  4. That is so funny!!! I do the same thing when I see the school supplies out in late June! How can you pass up such bargains though really? We do the Operation Christmas Child every year, so I always buy "extra" for that too :) Our classroom here at home has oodles of the "extras"...ha!

I'll freely admit that I have always LOVED any type of stationary items.

  5. I love those school supplies, too but don't love it when they start putting things out in early June. It seems to get earlier and earlier each year!

  6. I can't resist buying the school supplies either when they are a penny and a nickle. I mean they will eventually get used right? I got 24 crayons at office max the other day for a penny. Gotta love that.

  16. Oh my gosh, I am soooooooo hopeless in the school/office supply aisle! Seriously, I make myself avoid that part of the store, coz I lose all sense of time and budget there. I'll have to remember that stocking stuffer hint... hint, hint, Duller.

    Love ya bunches, sweet pea!
    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

I think I may just have to get the triangular crayons cause I hate when they just roll away.

  19. Oh yeah, I love school supplies! I don't know what I'll do when we're done homeschooling. Keep buyin' 'em I guess!

Loved the beach, thank you for bringing it! We are currently saving our money to go to Florida in two years.

We will go for two weeks (after my youngest son's high school graduation) and go to Disney World.

We went two years ago (for my oldest's high school graduation). And we took the kids one other time before that and got to see the space shuttle launch. It was pretty cool.

It usually takes us about four years to save up but we love Florida. Wouldn't it be fun if I got to see you and Debra when I go? Like I said, we're still two years away, lol!

  21. Hmmm, that is interesting - I really thought that I read on a homesteader sort of blog that the "only" things on their school supply list were: 3 ring binders, lined paper, crayons (just because they were 25c a box and I couldn't resist me a new box of crayons!), page protectors and the SAME glue from last year, the SAME pencils from last year, the SAME ruler from last year, etc.

Hee, hee!! Really - who can pass up good school supply deals? I need to get a few things, but I've been avoiding it. And I already have plenty of Hannah Montana folders (LOL - KIDDING)!

Big you-are-well-stocked-with-supplies-just-in-case-a-few-friends-or-neighbors-run-out-and-there's-a-hurricane-and-the-stores-are-closed hugs to you!! :)

Enjoy the rest of your day my friend!

  22. Oh gosh.. you just described ME. lol I do the same thing. I just LOVE it!! I especially went overboard when our Wal-Mart had Dayspring products with the school supplies that had scriptures printed on them. I mean I even bought a pencil bag...lol.. the binder was a legit need, but the pencil bag was a bit overboard even for me. Good to know I'm not alone!!

  25. Oh, Im addicted to school supplies too! Being a teacher gives me the excuse to buy 20 of everything so Im lucky I suppose. Then I get it out of my system. HA! Who am I kidding. I still have to buy more just for my own stash at work AND at home. ;) All in good company.
