I know I probably haven't mentioned this yet but....

......TODAY is my birthday! LOL!
I know that on many different blogs I've read 40 things about the person or 40 things that they like but I'm going to be a little different. Shocker, I know!

I'm going to tell you 40 things I WON'T do, now that I'm 40!
I guess this could be the opposite of a bucket list! LOL!
Here they are in no particular order!
  1. Bungee Jump
  2. Sky Dive
  3. Become a Race Car Driver
  4. Prepare for a Triathlon

What won't you do now that you're older?

  4. Kim..LOL.. I can relate to your entire list and then some. I'm a few years past the big 4-0 and I can add a couple items I know I'll never do now...

    1. wear a tube top
    2. sprint and jump hurdles (old highschool stuff)
    3. hear comments about how beautiful my children are when I am out with a friend's children... Now it's.. "your GRANDCHILDREN are adorable".... How rude!
    4. cut my hair in a mullet again (stinkin 80's and pictures as proof... yikes)
    5. wear short, shorts or skirts
    6. wear high heels everywhere I go (bring on the flip flops)

well, my list could go on and on.. but I'll spare you since this is a little depressing... :-)

    MAMAHUGS!

  5. Hmm....interesting list! See, I've been "40" for a few years now, and I seem to think that the older I get, the *bolder* I get!

Kind of like Granny in "Hoodwinked"....

    "Bring it, honey!"

    LOL!!

    HAPPY ACTUAL BIRTHDAY!

    ((hugs))

  6. Something close to number 32 is on my agenda this year. We thought it'd be fun to see our neighors come home from vacation to a house wrapped in crime tape.

It's my husband's idea. But I like it. Lol!

Did you ever draw a chalk body, btw? You know, I can see it...

  18. HAPPY BIRTHDAY my sweet friend!!! I like your list and agree with so many on it! But really, don't you think you are writing off #15 and #20 just a little too soon? You never know what kinds of things you might do as a senior! :)

Maybe I'll make it my goal to get you to do as many things as possible on your list just to mess you up - LOL!!

Big shall-I-whip-up-a-liver-and-onion-cake-topped-with-pickled-pigs-feet-for-your-birthday size hugs to you!!! Love you! Have a marvelous birthday!!! :)

I would have to say that I would agree with most of your list. So I may just copy it...I mean I am not going to bungee jump or kiss an alligator either. lOL
    Happy Birthday my friend.

    MImi

  20. Oh do! And here I am with no sidewalk! I'm pretty sure I'd do #32. How about ride your bike down to the nearest billboard and point your hair dryer at passing cars?

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET THANG!

    Haven't been to the PO yet, but soon. 8-}

    Have a JESUS-filled day!^i^

  24. Well, I hope you've had a LOVELY day!!! Did you have that peanut butter cake that you love?

How DID you come up with that list? Too funny!! I am very glad that you will never be doing several of those things.

I hope you got all 4 of my e-cards. I know that was a bit much, but, hey, this is the big 4-0!!! You can't have too many cards to celebrate a day of that importance.

    Love you!!

My son wanted to know if you ever really licked the bottom of your shoe before!? (I'll tell him "No"

  30. WooHOOO! Happy Birthday!

The 40's have been AWESOME. You look maaahhhvelous!

Take it from one who knows, I'm going to be 43 in a few months myself. ;O)

  31. I can actually say the alphabet backwards really fast! It's kinda fun to have a "talent" everyone else likes to try out :)

And why not draw a chalk drawing outside? That'd be kinda of fun to see who all just "had" to know what happened :0)

    ReplyDelete
  32. That was way better than the lists of "will dos" that I've read. And I agree with the bobbing for apples. That's just disgusting.
Hope you enjoyed your special day!
