Friday Funnies!

Happy Friday my fellow funny people!
Are we needing a good laugh today?
I know I am.
So let's get to it.
If you have a family friendly funny to share then by all means link it up.
If you're just here for the giggles then by all means giggle your little heart out!

My son the 8 year old. He is a constant source of entertainment in our home and I know I've used him a few times for my Friday Funnies but I had to share this.
I love my son. I really really do. He just brings joy to my heart.
And I'm going to tell you why.
On 3 separate nights recently, this is what he was doing an hour after I tucked him in to bed.

Night #1 - 10:15 at night
Him: "I'm growing a mustache."
Me:"Oh really?"
Him: "Yes, and it should be full grown by the time I'm 13."(completely serious)
Me: "That's great honey. Go back to bed because you need sleep in order for it to grow in thick."
Him: "Yeah, you're probably right. Night."

Night #2- 10 o'clock at night he comes out.
Him: "Hi, Mom."
Me: "Hi honey, whatcha been doing in your room? I heard you talking."
Him: "I've been trying to come up with names for all the kids I'm going to have, but I haven't really come up with any I like."
Me: "Okay, well you have a "few" years to figure that how and you might want to concentrate on growing that mustache first."
Him: "Good idea." "Love you Mom."
Me: "Love you too honey."

Night #3- 9:30 at night.
Him: "Hey, Mom."
Me: "Hi sweetheart." What are you doing up?"
Him: "Guess what I can do?"
Me:"What?"
Him:"I can put this leg behind my head." "I've been practicing."
Me: *shakes head* "That's great. So uh, I'll see you in morning. Love you!"
Him: "Love you too."

Anybody else have an ambitious child like mine? LOL!
Happy Friday my friends!!

  7. I'm really glad you are helping him get his priorities straight...Mustache before kid names, etc. Lol!

And yep. We must have two peas from the same pod. :)

For the record...I've missed you. But my only surfing has been through my cell phone at soccer practices, and I refuse to "text" a comment. Probably because it would take me 3 days to do!

    Have a great weekend!!!

  12. Kim,

Our kids do say the weirdest things. I guess they are in such a hurry to grow up and then when they get there like us, want to go back to the worry free lives of kids.

    You have a classic!
