Gee, where do I start?

I think I’ll dedicate this post to the things I learned this week while moving.

Totally random and in no particular order!

1. I can indeed survive without the internet for a whole week! (Did I like it? NO!  But survive it I did.)

2. When switching over your phone line make sure you do it a week before you actually want it done.

3. Thinking you can move the stuff that you have slowly accumulated over the past 12 years in only 24 hours is a joke.

4. Thinking you can move all the stuff you’ve slowly accumulated over 12 years in just one truck load was quite an oversight.

5. Having friends that will basically drop what they are doing to help you, is a blessing. THANK YOU ALL!

6. The urge to ever move again is gone.

7.  The Lord has blessed us above and beyond what we ever could have imagined!

8. I never want to see another cardboard box again. Well, that is unless it comes in the mail and has something in it for me. LOL!

9. The sound of a packing tape dispenser can get on your last nerve when heard over and over and over again for 2 weeks straight.

10. Pizza Hut came in very handy while unpacking.

11. You can unpack AND decorate for Christmas at the same time.

12. Having a bigger bathroom makes for a longer walk in the middle of the night.

13.  I have to stand in my new kitchen and actually think about where I put things. I can’t wait till it’s automatic again. My brain is starting to hurt. HA!

14. The boxes that don’t get opened and unpacked before Christmas will be wrapped and put under the tree. LOL!

15. We can’t find our tree!

I guess I’ll stop there for now!

Did you miss me?  Did you even know I was gone?

I’ll post pictures when it doesn’t look like rooms with just a bunch of boxes in them. HA! PLUS I still have our vacation to post about. But it’s all going to have to wait as I have a lot of unpacking yet to do and a Christmas party to plan.

I missed you all. Let me know if I missed a mind blowing post of yours as I’m not going to have time to go back and look at any for awhile.

  1. Congratulations, again, on your new home. I pray you will have many years of love and laughter in this home.
    Many blessings,

  2. lol...too funny!
But you forgot one...be sure to switch over the water as soon as you have your closing documents :)

  3. Tee-dum, tee-dum! We are waiting ... chuckle! What fun to redecorate a home.
Have a beautiful winters eve ~

    Know you were gone?

I've been looking for this post for about a week now, lol! So, now you're actually gonna have a Christmas/house-warming party!

At least you didn't have to move in 90° weather. Now that you're done, can we turn off the deep-freeze machine, PLEASE?!

Too cold for mind blowing! I did post a new picture of 'me', but not really 'me'. and a short veejo requesting prayer for persecuted Christians in India.

  6. HAHAHA! I hit the big orange button too fast! When you get a chance, let me know what I need in re #8. 8-]

    Love ya loads, sweet thang!
    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

...I'll take one of those boxes from under the tree... ;)

  9. Love your list!! We moved about 4 years ago at Christmas time, so I know what you mean about unpacking and decorating at the same time!!

So glad you have Internet again!!

    Love you bunches my friend

  10. YAY!!!! So glad to see you back! You were missed. I'm glad you learned all of that, so that I didn't have to learn it ;)

Blessings & hugs to you my friend!

  11. You are a stronger woman than I am:-)

  12. Welcome back! You were totally missed!!!!

  13. I think #15 is my favorite....she's not kidding ya'll, I was there today...no tree to be found, LOL! :)

  14. I had to laugh at #14 and #15! Congratulations on the new home. May you fill it with love, laughter and joy!

  15. Of course we missed you and noticed you were gone!!!! I just love how you learn from every experience. The list is great! I honestly don't know if I could survive without internet for a week or not. So I'm very proud of your accomplishment in that area! You go girl!

  16. Ah, the wisdom that comes from moving. Love the boxes under the tree idea. And ya know, we would love to see pictures WITH all the boxes and mess. Come on!

  17. Hi Kim,

I just wanted to say how excited I am about your new home! I can't wait to see pictures!

    Love you!

  19. Guess I missed your posts so much that you were in a dream of mine last night!!!! I can't remember all the details......just that you were happy and laughing.....

I'm so excited for you and your family!!

    If I could, I would send you a freshly chopped tree from an enormous tree farm here in the North. Ahhh, nothing like the smell of fresh pine to "Christen" your new home!! sigh..... I guess you'll have to settle for a candle or air freshner or Pine Sol! LOL ( ;

Can't wait to see all the pictures after you get settled in.

  20. PIZZA HUT ROCKS!! and then makes you have to do a "Sweatin' to the Oldies" workout eventually!!!
Though I think you probably feel like you ran a couple of marathons after all the box shuffling!!

  21. Wow! Sounds like you're getting settled in. :-) congratulations on your new home!!

I really appreciate the time you take to leave a comment. Thank you!
