Oh we are having so much fun with the garden. All my hubby’s hard work is really paying off.
Here are a few pictures of some of this weeks harvest.
Yummy cucumbers!
Anyone need some radishes. We have TONS in the garden.
We are weeding out some of the carrots so that the ones in the ground can grow bigger, but we were still pretty impressed with these ones.
We’ve been eating lettuce and chard for weeks now. So yummy!
Oh man, do I have a green bean recipe for you. It’ll be on my cooking blog this week! Keep an eye out.
Little man helped me prepare some green beans for blanching and freezing.
Ready to go in the freezer!
The joy of having a home grown salad!
And last but not least. Do you remember the mystery tree we had?
Well come to find out they were indeed peaches. They are small but oh so good.
More updates to come!
Have a glorious day!
Nothing better than veggies from the garden! YUM!
ReplyDeleteWow Kim! I am impressed! Our garden is still in the very early stages...just seeing my romaine lettuce coming up. Can't wait for my spinach and cucumbers and tomatoes to come along too...love those summer salads! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteOh MAN! I'll try not to be jealous. There is nothing better than fresh vegies from the garden.
ReplyDeleteOur garden has yet to be turned over this year. It's so dolgone wet I'm not sure when we'll be able to do it. I think we're growing a rain forest up here in the midwest!
Enjoy those salads! Yum!
Looks wonderful - we haven't even begun to work up the ground here in MN yet (we still have snow piles!). I can feel the Spring fever running through my veins - don't think I can wait much longer.
ReplyDeleteCAN YOU SAY YUMMMMMMMMMMM!!! It all looks sooo good :)
ReplyDeleteI am beyond jealous at all of the produce you already have and a peach tree on top of it all. No really, I am thrilled for you and so excited. Also, please share what kind of vacuum sealer you have and if you like it because I am on the lookout for one if it is worth it.
ReplyDeleteWow! Looks great. Do ya'll have a green thumb or what?! So cool.
ReplyDeleteOh my! You must live waaay down south to already be harvesting from your garden! Our last frost day isn't until the end of May. Mine isn't even tilled up yet! ha! Really enjoying your blog, keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteOk. So instead of getting jealous.. I'm going to get off my butt and away from this computer and pull my garden books out again. We are still in the middle of figuring out what to do with the big patio thing in our yard and where to put the garden. I am ITCHING to do a garden and maybe we just need to bite the bullet and do it..
ReplyDeletePhew.. sorry for that vent..
Your garden looks AMAZING!!
So when are you headed up this way.. I'll have the coffee and the front porch waiting :-)
YUM! I can't WAIT for ours!! :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, y'all's produce looks fabulous!!! Definitely a family with many green thumbs.
