Today for our Summer Fun we went to the movies to see Cars 2!! We don’t get to go to the movies very much, mainly because there isn’t much to see these days. But every year we look forward to the next Pixar movie because it’s one that we can go to as a family.
Where we live, if you go between 10 am. and 11 am. it’s only $4.00 a person. So we only had to fork out $20.00. Yay! Not to mention there’s no crowd. BONUS!
My boys! (Daughter dear didn’t want her picture taken today!) Teenagers!
We all really liked the movie. It was action packed and nothing like the first one (which we also liked). There was a whole lot more of Mator in this one which is fine because Mator totally rocks!
There was a nice message about friendship that we can all relate to I’m sure.
Have you seen it yet? What did you think?
Here’s the trailer incase you haven’t seen it yet!
Stay tuned for more Summer Fun on the homestead. If you’ve missed the past few posts of Summer Fun make sure you go check them out. You might get some fun ideas.
HAVE A SUPER FABULOUS DAY!
I wonder if our theatre has these rates. We talked about the movie ... TY for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful week ~

Very cute photo of the boys!! How nice to be able to take the whole family to a movie and not have to take a mortgage out to do so.
ReplyDeleteThere is a theatre near us...we call it the "cheapie theatre." They get new releases about 6 months after the regular movie theater. For $4 a person, you get movie admission and 2 food items (usually, I take popcorn and a drink). Our whole family went to see "True Grit" a few months ago, and Gabrielle and I went to see "Letters to Juliet" last summer. We did see "The King's Speech" at the regular theatre....talk about an absurb amount of money to spend!!! The cheapie theatre is definitely the way to go.
I'm glad you're having such a great summer.
Love,
Patti
Sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteWe are planning on seeing it when it comes out on DVD..
Glad you enjoyed it.. a perfect thing to do when it's so hot
Our family, along with 29 of my husband's cousins and their children, went to see it this weekend. It was a great movie! But, we don't have that special little price thing going on at our theater. We forked out a little more dough at the movie. Oiy! But, it was fun to go with the family.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't seen it yet. Hope to though! Wow, what a great deal you guys got on movie tickets.
ReplyDeleteHow fun for the family!! What an awesome deal that is! I bet the boys loved it!
ReplyDeleteBig you-gotta-love-Mator-of-Average-Intelligence size hugs to you! Love ya!! :)
We haven't seen it yet but hope too real soon! We love Mator toooooo :) He is a HOOT
ReplyDeleteNope, we haven't seen it yet. I love how you took the picture right in front of the posters. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteI almost never go to movies (I've been to two of them in the last five years or so and one was while we were on vacation). But if we do we'll go to the $2 theater to see it.
