Swimming may be no big thing to some people, but I haven’t been in a swimming pool for many many years. Reasons being we don’t own one and or know anyone close to us with one. Until now!
Most of you know that we recently moved and have been here for about 7 months now. We’ve made it a priority to get to know those around us. We are very blessed to have super nice neighbors right next door. We’ve chit chatted back and forth, pushed our zucchini on them and are slowly getting to know them better. A week ago my hubby and I went over to invite them to our BBQ. They said that they would be out of town for the 4th but offered us their pool. REALLY? Suh-weet! They are seriously generous people for only knowing us 7 months. I guess we seem like a pretty decent family. Ha! Ha!
So any way we took them up on their offer and had a little fun the other day!
I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
Chillin’!
My beautiful children!
Handsome Hubby!
No comment! LOL!
Speaking of my hubby, he was having way to much fun. Definitely not acting like a typical 42 year old. LOL! But then again, what is typical any more? I was having so much fun with the under water camera. And he was having fun being goofy!
I love this shot! Completely airborne. I won’t tell you how bad it hurt his belly when he landed though.
Oh this picture cracks me up! I love the face he’s making at me! Such a ham!
Then my daughter decides to get in on the action.
Catching some air!
Then I had all I could take and I threw caution to the wind and let loose! Remember I haven’t swam or dove or jumped in a pool in probably over 8 years. LOL!
Yup, I’m pretty much a goober! LOL!
Good form? I guess!
Right about here my daughter and I were trying to get an underwater photo of the two of us. Let’s just say we were in hysterics trying. Oh have mercy!
We finally did it but it wasn’t very flattering. LOL! I can’t open my eyes underwater because of my contact lenses. So they are clamped shut!
The boys are going to learn to swim this Summer (it’s been kind of hard to teach them when you don’t have access to a pool all these years). Our neighbors were both instructors at one time and have offered to teach them in their pool. I tell ya we were really blessed with our new neighbors. I hope they feel the same way about us!
Well that’s the Summer Fun update from the homestead!
Have a SUPER FABULOUS day my friends!
If you want to keep going over there, make sure they don't see these pictures!!! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteYou guys are nuts and thats why I love ya!

Oh you guys crack.me.up! Yes, you have good neighbors but hey! They have even better ones! :)
ReplyDeleteMy son's bestfriend goes to the Bahamas every summer and we get to take care of their house, yard and POOL!! We love it too!! They leave this Saturday for 10days!
I.CAN'T.WAIT!!
Looks like you guys had a blast!! How cool to have a pool all to yourselves! Love those pics my friend! What nice neighbors and that's great that they'll give some swimming lessons. We had to take the kiddo to the nearby pool for Summer lessons every Summer for a few years - he was a slow learner in the pool, but finally progressed and now he's a great swimmer even though we don't have a pool.
ReplyDeleteBig was-there-any-water-left-in-the-pool-by-the-time-you-finished size hugs to you!! Love ya! :)
Haha, these are awesome shots! I love the pre-bellyflop one, too!! Very cool. Looks like an incredible afternoon. My advice is to continue getting to know your neighbours better!! ;)
