That wasn’t me at the bar!

So I’m sitting in my office the other day and my daughter is on the other computer reading my blog and she says, “Mom, you need to change your profile picture.” I said, “I did.” She said, “No, you need to change it back. You look like you’re in a bar, with the lighting and the whole hat thing.” My first thought was, “When have YOU seen the inside of a bar?” But I did see her point.

So to set my daughter at ease, I told her I would just tell you that I wasn’t in a bar. There. I said it. I wasn’t in a bar. Nor will you ever find me in a bar. Well, not unless my car broke down outside a bar and I forgot my cell phone and it’s the closest place and I’m desperate because it’s raining outside and I’m wearing high heels and I have bags of groceries with melting ice cream in them. But other than that, you won’t find me in a bar! In fact I was at Mimi’s Cafe with my BFF.

But I will admit that the lighting does look a little ify.

I do have this picture, but I didn’t like it as well.

I don’t know, you tell me. Which one is better?

Or should I JUST go back to ol’ faithful? LOL!

Why is this so hard? OY!

  1. Hey, sweet friend...just so ya know, I didn't think for a minute that you were in a bar. I didn't know where you were, but to be honest, I wasn't really focusing on the surroundings...just on you.

I say keep the new photo. I love it!

    Have a blessed day.

  2. Didn't give it a second thought, Kim ... muchless a first thought. Tho I like the top pics the best.

    Have a great day ~
    TTFN ~

  3. Never thought you were in a bar. :) I think you look cute in every picture, so just stay with the top one. Many blessings!

  4. To be honest, when I saw it yesterday, I did think it looked a little bit like a bar at first, but knowing you (through blog land~although I really feel like I know you for reals) I knew that it was probably taken when you went out to dinner. I wouldn't give it a second thought, but I love your daughter's honesty. If your daughter uses photoshop and it is really bothering you, have her blur the background so you can't tell what is in the background.

  5. From a girl raised in Montana, I LOVE the new profile pic.

The bottom pic shows your face better because better lighting. That's my choice. :)

  6. The thought that you were in a bar never even entered my head... My pictures always come out with dark backgrounds when I use the flash inside, but it brings out the faces better... It's you blog, pick the one you like best!!!

  7. I love the first one. Warmer and very complimentary :-)

  8. I like the new one...and I never thought anything about where it was taken. I sure hope no one will judge you by a picture!
We readers know who you are!

  9. The second one shows you face best!

  10. So funny! I like the first one!

  11. I never thought about you being in a bar...until you said something. LOL!

I think you look adorable in all pics my friend! I like the lighter background, but I like how it shows your face better in the darker background. Don't ever ask me for help making decisions! :)

Big in-a-bar-or-not-in-a-bar-or-in-a-car-or-very-far-I-still-like-you size hugs to you!! Love ya my friend! :)

  12. LOL! You sound like me! I never know about profile pics. I surely love "Old Faithful" though!

  13. O.k., well I admit that I never gave it much thought. I just saw the pic and thought "Hey, she changed her profile pic" and that's about as invested as I got, lol!

  14. That cracks me up! You could get a "beer" sign in a regular restaurant...I've had that happen before and had to crop big time!
We just had our high school reunion at a "bar and grill." I had a great time, no drinks for me! I have fun just being myself!!!

I really appreciate the time you take to leave a comment. Thank you!
