For our daughter’s birthday, we ended up making her most of her presents. It just kind of worked out that way.
Here’s what we made.
I made her this jewelry holder.
When she opened it up she asked if it was finished. I couldn’t blame her because it was just a picture frame with some lace stapled to it. Ha! Ha! But once she got her jewelry on it, it came to life! I found the frame at a thrift store for $2.00 and lightly spray painted it white and I already had the lace. Now I want one!
The second thing I made was something that pretty much sums up how my daughter feels about the color pink.
My husband out did himself with this tea cup holder. Initially he was making it for me but our daughter wanted one so I told him he could give the first one to her since he wouldn’t have time to make another before her birthday. Didn’t he do a fantastic job? I can’t wait for mine. He’s making me two because I have an over abundance of tea cups. I’m so excited!
Our sons were not to be outdone. Little Man made her this.
Isn’t it just the most precious thing?
And Middle Man made her this.
He completely followed her color scheme. So cute!
We are a definitely a family that likes to work with our hands and be creative. It’s such a nice outlet for all of us.
Well I just thought you’d like to see these.
Have you got a hidden talent? What do you like to create?
Have a FABULOUS day my sweet friends.
I LOVE all of your goodies. They are ALL treasures!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute gifts! I want to make the jewelry holder for my daughter too - I think I'll even make one for myself. ;)
ReplyDeleteYa'll are crazy talented! I need a jewelry frame tutorial. Love all the pink! Blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteYour family is so talented! The popsicle stick creations made me smile, I still have a few precious things my kids made for me years ago. What a special birthday, to have so many things made with love.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome...gifts from the heart are the best gifts of all!
ReplyDeleteI like to create good things to eat. I'm not a very creative person when it comes to crafts. ;-)
So cute! I love the jewelry holder and especially the tea cup "rack" - beautiful! I saw one in a friend's house years ago and have wanted one since. Maybe I'll have to get my hubby to make one. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnother thing we have in common!!! You collect tea cups too! Love the ideo of the tea cup holder. I have mine on a plant shelf and am not liking it but I like this idea! Love it!
ReplyDeleteHow awesome! I LOVE all of them! The jewelry holder is perfect and WOW your husband really did an amazing job!! I'm loving the Pink sign and have to say, "I share the same opinion!"
ReplyDeleteThe boys gifts are darling!!!! So meaningful and sooo much better than something bought!!
I love how creative you are and how creative your whole family is. They just jump in the fun with you! Last year at Christmas I scrapbooked some recipes for my friend Torie. I had her ask her mom for the 2 recipes she loved the most from her childhood and put in a few of my own simple recipes and added some embellishments and whatnot. She was thrilled when she got it. I left many of the pages blank for her to fill in. It was a labor of love for sure.
ReplyDeleteBrad did an awesome job on the teacup holder!!! I have one that is very similar, which I received as a "no reason" gift from a blog friend. However, I need to paint it white, and I just haven't had time to do that yet. But it will look almost exactly like Kelsey's when it's complete.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Patti
You guys ROCK!! You all are so crafty - those gifts are amazing and so special!! I'm sure Kelsey felt very blessed by all of it.
