First off, “WOW” on all the comments about my outfits. Thank you. So far it looks like outfit #4 is in the lead. After I posted it, I looked back at last year to see what I wore and I wore the top part of #8 and the bottoms of #4, so needless to say I won’t be wearing that this year. I love the way some of you went ahead and mismatched the clothing. But enough about that.
This post was getting long so I broke it down for you . We’ll just talk trees today.
For a split second I seriously thought about leaving our tree like this and decorating it. BUT, I didn’t and it did finally come together. We’ve had the same tree for 14 years and finally let it go. We bought this one on clearance after Christmas last year and we thought since we have high ceilings why not go 9 foot? Hmm..We really didn’t think that one through. Needing the step ladder to decorate wasn’t much fun.
Look carefully. What’s missing? I’ll let you ponder that one.
I bought this ceramic tree at a garage sale for $5.00. I’ve always wanted one and I know some day I’ll get my grandmother’s but until now, this one will do just fine. Doesn’t it look like the snowmen are decorating it? My Mom got me those. She knows my love of snowmen.
This is MY tree. You might remember it from last year. No one gets to help with this tree. I made the ornaments, I put them on. It’s mine. Let’s move on.
This is why I have my own tree. Ha! Ha! The youngest started helping with the decorating about 4 years ago. And things like this started happening.
Here is 2007.
How about 2008?
2009? Any better?
2010?
Well this was the scene in 2010 so I was a bit distracted to notice any faux paus on the tree. We moved in Dec. 1st of last year!
So what about this year you ask? You did ask right?
Well I have to be honest. I think he’s getting a little better. In my close inspection of the tree, this is about the worst I found.
There definitely isn’t as many candy canes per square inch any more. So I’d say he’s slowly improving. But he’s still not touching my tree. Ha! Ha!
Well I hope you enjoyed my “little” tree post. Come back to see more of the inside this week!
HAVE A LOVELY DAY MY FRIENDS!

I can't wait to come over today and see your new tree. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the red and white tree!! And your first tree doesn't have a topper - is that right?
ReplyDeleteLOVE your trees! I think you are missing a topper on your first one. :)
ReplyDeleteYour pics are just precious of your kids decorating! One day I am sure he will just LOVE YOU for keeping record!
Can't wait to see inside!
Kim!
ReplyDeleteI love all your Christmas cuteness! I used to make those ceramic Christmas trees every year with my mom and for the life of me, can't quite remember what happened to mine. I can't bring myself to buy another one, but perhaps some yard sales might turn one up for me! Thanks for sharing all of your tree delights!
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
Love this post... trees are my favorite, to see and watch, especially at night...smile..
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gert
Ooo, la-la ~ love the new header! So festive!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I really love your chubby little snowmen decorating the tree! SO CUTE!!
We have a new tree this year too...but we always have a 9 foot tree. The ladder thing doesn't bother me. They are fun to put away though (hear the sarcasm in my voice?).
ReplyDeleteYour trees are all lovely, even if your little tike monkeys around with it! My daughter decided not to put up her tree because we have a little 16 month-old boy who is (destroying) getting into everything. I was horrified, but fortunately her sweet husband went out and bought just a little tree and put it up high, out of reach! I had trouble emailing you, but wanted to thank you for visiting and leaving sweet compliments on my blog! Wishing you and yours a blessed and Merry Christmas! Love, Linda
ReplyDeleteI really like your tree :) :) We have a fibreoptic Christmas tree that belongs to my aunt. It glows in different colors at night. When I get my flipvideo recorder charges up, I'll take a short video of it ;) :) Have a great day. Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)
ReplyDeleteI love all your pretty trees my friend!! So festive!! And it looks like nothing on top of the big tree, but maybe the top is cut off in the pic. Look how much your kiddo is improving in the decorating! :)
ReplyDeleteBig just-send-me-one-of-your-already-decorated-trees-'cause-I-still-don't-have-one-ready-to-go size hugs to you!! Love ya!! :)
