New Year, New Motto!

All over the web you see people making goals and lists of resolutions and such. People are also coming up with words to focus on for the year. Well not to be out done I thought I’d come up with my own motto for this year. It didn’t take me long to think of it either.

So without further ado this years motto is…(drum roll please)…….

“Git er’ done!”

Most of you know that I am probably the world’s worse procrastinator. If I can do it later I usually will. But on the flip side, when I do commit to doing something, nothing short of a good cup of coffee will keep me from accomplishing it.

Yesterday was one of those days. I set my mind to declutter and organize my craft room/office and it got done. And MAN it felt good. Things that have been sitting in the corner gathering dust are GONE baby! For a whole year I just put it off, saving it for another day. Ugh! But I’m seriously going to try to do better this year. It’s the year of Gettin’ er done! I think I’ll  make a plaque. Yes, yes I will!

So what about you? Do you have a word, phrase or motto you’re focusing on this year? Do tell!

  1. I've got the same motivation. I even cleaned my makeup brushes before I left for school yesterday morning. I hope we both can keep this up. :-)

  2. As a fellow procrastinator, I totally understand! Actually I saw a t-shirt that I loved...I put the Pro in Procrastination. Love it!

I pray blessings over your new goal my friend!

  3. I definitely have had the clean. declutter bug for a while now and just LOVE seeing the end result!

I think my motto for this year will be

Love you and hope 2012 finds you "gettin er' done"

  4. I just received the Gooseberry Patch cookbook! I cannot wait to try some new recipes!

  5. I'm still pondering my theme for the year! Makes me sound like a procrastinator doesn't it!

  6. I have an anchor verse for the year, and my word for the year comes from it...FAITHFUL. I wrote a post about it earlier today. Git 'er done and check it out! :-)

  7. Love it! We are thinking along the same lines! Glad you posted about it!

Big let's-rock-this-year-and-get-'er-done size hugs to you!! Love you friend! Hope you're having a great week! :)

  8. Kim, thanks for your comment on my blog today, on my post about choosing a word for the year. I love your motto of Get'er done.
Please come over to my house and help me declutter! I admire how you decluttered a room.

I really appreciate the time you take to leave a comment. Thank you!
