A couple of days after the Cape Canaveral trip my cough seemed to get worse. Let’s just say, I was not fun to be around. So on Monday of last week I graciously allowed my husband to take our 3 children to the shooting range while I sat home alone in a quiet, peaceful home. Did I mention it was quiet? Yeah, it was so sacrificial of me to stay behind but I couldn’t be hacking up a lung while shooting a gun now could I? That could be dangerous. You know what I mean?
How they managed to have fun without me, I have no idea. But it looks to me like they did.
Dad, giving the boys a lesson on gun safety. Respect the gun.
Letting them have a feel for it.
Then they were able to shoot something a little more their speed.
Stay tuned for reason #3 of why I believe I should be Mother of the Year! *wink*
Have a fantabulous day my friends!
I'm too chicken to get anywhere near a gun...but I think it's super cool that your hubby is teaching your kid how to be responsible around something like that. Safety is important, for sure :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)
ReplyDeleteHey, that's another place my boys would love! Our church does a Guns and Grub event once or twice a year. The guys eat breakfast at church, then head over to Camp Atterbury's shooting range for some quality male bonding, lol! Sadly, we've had soccer games every time that have gotten in the way of attending.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to be teaching them these skills! My dad started to teach me when I was about 6 or 7. How wonderful of your husband to do this.
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope that you have fully recovered from your cough now!
Looks they had a great time! Um, yes you really worked hard on this one for that MOTY title. :)
ReplyDeleteBig you-missed-out-on-a-rootin'-tootin'-shootin'-good-time size hugs to you!! LOL! Love ya!
