So if you’ve tuned in to my posts the last two weeks you already know about our first Sea World fail and the reasons why I should be mother of the year part 1 and part 2. But if not, feel free to click on the links to get caught up. Go ahead, I’ll wait.
So regardless of how I was feeling on Wednesday of last week, we had our trip to Sea World planned again, because my honey’s vacation was in full swing at this point and there really was no turning back. I was able to actually get a good 6 hours sleep that night so early Wednesday morning we got up, packed our bags and headed to Sea World, again.
This time the trip was just perfect (aside from some occasional coughing from me). The weather was perfect and it wasn’t crowded at all.
We managed to see all the shows and go on tons of rides with little to no waiting.
This is the view from the sky tower. It’s the roller coaster ride Manta that my daughter and I went on. VERY fun. What makes it unique is that you are actually facing down the whole time you ride. Tip: Don’t ride in the very back if you get motion sickness. You’re welcome.
This is the other roller coaster we went on called Kracken. This to me is WAY funner than the Manta. It’s more thrilling. You’ll be happy to know that I can indeed keep my mouth shut and not scream and holler like a teenager on it as well. My lungs thanked me, I’m sure.
This is the Atlantis ride. It was my boys’ first official “roller coaster” type ride. They loved it. Especially my youngest. I’m raising up the next batch of roller coaster riders. The question is how much longer I’m going to be able to ride them? LOL!
Here are some pictures from some of the shows we saw.
These are from the whale and dolphin show. It was my favorite show out of all of them. I highly recommend seeing this if you ever get to go.
My family decided to sit in the splash zone. I did not. I took pictures. I stayed dry. Life was good.
This is the Shamu show.
Here’s a blurry picture of us in the Arctic exhibit.
The walrus on the right was over 3000lbs. He was huge!
After a super wonderful day we drove a mile to our awaiting hotel room. It was a really nice hotel room with a buffet breakfast included.
This is where the kids slept.
The living and dining area.
The kitchenette.
Our room.
It really was a nice hotel. It had two bathrooms and was very spacious. I wish we could have stayed another night just to enjoy the amenities.
So if you’ve read this far I have just a little something for you, if you want it. If you’d like a little souvenir from our Sea World trip just leave a comment saying so. It’s nothing much, just a post card, but I just thought it would be fun.
Stay tuned for tomorrows MOTY award reason #4.

Thanks for sharing about your vacation adventures! Glad to hear that all of you had tons of fun! Roller coasters are a blast. I would ride one all day long, LOL. And that hotel looks wonderful! It looks a lot like Homewood Suites.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are amazing! Seriously. If you decide not to work for Gooseberry Patch, you could hock your photos to the promotion managers of Sea World! :)
ReplyDeleteYou know, I didn't even know there were rides at Sea World. It sounds like a great family park.
And I would LOVE a postcard! Maybe it will even prove that my blogger friends are not "fake" friends, as my boys like to say.
Glad you had a wonderful time!
Oh you really sacrificed this time - look at all that misery you had to go through - LOL!! Great pics my friend! Sounds like so much fun!

P.S. You really look skinny in that pic my friend - like you're in high school or something! :) You look beautiful no matter what, but just thought you'd like to know that it's noticeable after all your hard work.
