Gooseberry Patch 101 Cozy Casseroles Cookbook Giveaway!

CONGRATULATIONS TO Connie Bolick Lee! This giveaway is now closed. Thanks to all who entered.

Well I was supposed to get this going last week but due to birthday party preparations and some unforeseen things it got pushed to this week.  But better late than never I always say.

Once again I was given a copy of one of fabulous Gooseberry Patch cookbooks to review and to giveaway. One lucky recipient will receive this cookbook.

cozycass

I don’t know about you but I love making casseroles. They are usually quick and easy to prepare and feed a lot of people.

CONTENTS:

Quick-to-Fix Casseroles

Mom’s Favorite Casseroles

Potluck-Perfect Casseroles

Hot & Bubbly Sides

Needless to say if YOU love casseroles this is the book for you. I was able to make a couple of recipes and I get to share them with you here today.

The first one had me by it’s name: Rumbledethumps! I was like, “What in the world is a Rumbledethumps?”

Well I’ll show you. (I’m taking the lazy way out of sharing the recipe and just snapping a photo for now with the recipe on it. Hopefully you can read it okay. )

IMG_3993

Here’s my photo of it that I paired with my delicious chicken parmesan. I know usually you pair chicken parmesan with a pasta but I have to say that this tasted delicious together. I didn’t have cheddar cheese on hand so I used Monterey Jack cheese and it was delicious.

Another recipe tried was this one. The Mexican Cornbread Bake.

This one kind of reminded me of a tamale.

IMG_3992

I cooked mine in a smaller pan so the cornbread layers were really thick. But no one complained. LOL!

Let’s just say that if you are into casseroles like I am, you will love this cookbook. We don’t eat canned soup and stuff like that but the recipes are very adaptable if you know how to do that all from scratch.

So I’m sure by now you would like to know how to win this little gem, huh? Read carefully so you can take full advantage of all the entries.

1. Leave me a comment telling me YOUR favorite casserole that you make. (Feel free to leave a link if you have it written somewhere.)

  42. I think MY favorite go-to casserole would have to be our cheesy tater tot beefy-sausage combo. It's like the ultimate comfort food for a chilly eve after a long day at the office. Made ahead, ready to pop in the oven by one of the kids, it's just about ready by the time I make the drive home. I'm sure this cookbook would give me some great new ideas too! Thanks!

I used to have both on my blog before I deleted the whole thing, but I don't have them on my blog now. I love the Gooseberry Patch books. I don't have Facebook so I can't like you on that. Please count me in!
