Congratulations to Maryleigh7 for winning the latest giveaway.
Are you ready for another giveaway? Of course you are. This time around it’s for one of the latest Gooseberry Patch cookbooks.
I marked a lot of recipes in this cookbook to try but the one I made the other day was one that I made because I was in a hurry. I love recipes that you can basically throw together with stuff that’s already in your pantry. Plus any recipe that starts out with the word “Mommy’s” in it has to be good right?
3/4 c. onion, diced
3/4 c. celery, diced
2 T. butter
8 c. chicken broth
28 oz. can tomato puree
1/2 t. dried thyme
1 t. dried rosemary
salt and pepper to taste
2 15oz cans cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
2 c. ditalini pasta, cooked (I used gluten free pasta)
In a stockpot over medium heat, sauté onion and celery in butter until onion is translucent. Add broth, tomato puree and seasonings. Simmer over low heat for one hour. Add beans and pasta to soup; heat through. Ladle into bowls to serve.
Serves 8
I also made these Chocolate Raspberry Brownies. They were good…REAL good!
You can find the recipe for these on the guest post I did on Gooseberry Patches blog here.
Shall we take a look inside?
CONTENTS:
Break of Day Breakfasts
Garden-Fresh Soups & Salads
Family Dinner Favorites
Blue-Ribbon Desserts
Classic Country Canning
There are still so many recipes I want to try, for instance:
Sweet Apple Butter Muffins
Cow-Country Beans (These look amazing!)
Skillet Chicken with Vegetables & Herbs
Cinnamon Gingersnaps and so many more.
Do I have your mouth watering yet?
