Summer Fun- Let’s Go To The Movies!

IMG_5974

First I have to admit that we aren’t big movies goers. It’s not because we don’t like going to the movies but usually there isn’t anything that we can see as a family. (We are very particular about what we watch)

But this Summer there were actually some fun movies that came out and so far we’ve gone to see two.

Monsters University The first one we saw was Monsters University. You’ll like this movie more if you’ve seen the first one and know the main characters but it’s not a must.

I personally loved this movie. At one part of the movie I actually fell into a full blown belly laugh and if a movie can do that for me, it’s good.

My favorite character ended up being Art. He’s the purplish fella. He was completely hysterical in the movie.

And while we were there we got our photo ID’s made. My bestest and I decided to share an ID card and all I can say about my boys is that they’re “special”.

The next movie we went to see was Despicable Me 2. I really want about 4 Minions. They kept us laughing through the whole movie. I also love how Gru genuinely loves his girls and how they adore him and see only the good in him. Very cute movie. It may even be better than the first one.

Well if you’re interested in watching the trailers here they are.

Monsters University.

Despicable Me 2

If you want to save some money go to the shows in the morning when ticket prices are around $4.00 per person. Our local theater even has free movies during the Summer if you are looking for something to do during the week.

I hope you are enjoying my Summer fun posts and are finding some good ideas to do with your kids or grandkids.

If you missed any you can check them out here.

Have a lovely day my friends.

OXOX,

Kim

  1. We hardly ever go to the movies either. We're lucky to get in maybe one or two in an entire year. Those do sound like cute movies. And $4 for a ticket? What a bargain! The early shows around here cost $8, but we get a senior discount of $1 off. That's another reason why we don't go much!

  2. Hi Kim, I love this post and the fact that you all go as a family. I haven't seen either movie but our pastor actually talked about them recently. They sound like they've got a good story line. Thanks for sharing. Have a great afternoon.

  3. We loved Despicable Me 2! And want to see Monsters, but may just have to rent it. I got a good laugh from the $4 and free movies comments - not around here! Though some of our theaters have been offering special prices on Tuesdays.

Big minions-are-just-too-cute size hugs to you! Love ya!
