Well the votes are in and the winner is……….my house. Yay! It’s been a couple years since I won. Thank you to all who took the time to vote. We always have so much fun with this.
I really had no idea going into it what I wanted to do but as I started putting things here and there it just kind of fell together. I know one thing is for sure, as the kids get older the competition gets tougher and tougher.
Some of you asked why there were only 4 houses this year. Well that’s because my daughter and her fiancĂ© decided to buy houses from Target instead of Wal-mart where I told them we bought ours, so we (hubby and I) thought that because they were different it could be a slight advantage or even disadvantage. Ya gotta listen to your Momma and play by the rules. *smile* BUT don’t worry, I’ll show you their houses in a bit as they came out really cute.
But first let me recap the night as it went down.
First of all there was LOTS and LOTS of candy. This isn’t even half of it.
Our besties were not able to join us this year but my daughter sucked one of her good friends into the madness. I’m not sure her life will ever be the same. Ha! Ha!
Anyhoo I’ll just let the pictures speak for themselves.
Always the last one at the table. *smile*
The 3 Amigos!
Here are the houses decorated by my daughter, her fiance and her friend. In that order.
Oh and for those of you who were wondering.
House#1 was decorating by our 8 year old.
House #2 was my hubbalicious’.
House #3 was our 11 year old.
House #4 was mine.
Thanks again for joining in our yearly madness.
Have a lovely day.
OXOX,
Kim,
P.S. If you missed the competition you can go HERE and check out all the houses.
Congratulations! I tell you, it was a touch contest! Those young ones are giving you a run for your money on decorating talent. I hope you told your oldest son that an engineer voted for his, LOL!
ReplyDeleteDo you eat them later and go all crazy in your hyper sugared up state?
ReplyDeleteOops - thought I commented and now I see I'm way behind! Looks like lots of sugary fun! But I am glad you won - I was getting worried - LOL.
ReplyDeleteBig so-glad-you-explained-the-4-houses-so-that-I-could-sleep-at-night size hugs to you! :) Love ya!
