Blog awards....for me?

Imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning to not one blog award but 2. I've never gotten an award yet and then I got 3 this week. I'm so humbled by it. I remember back about 2 months ago I almost gave up blogging because I didn't feel like any one was reading my posts and then I realized it's not about me. So when I started focusing on what the Lord would have me do on here and not about the responses, my whole attitude changed. I'd love to be one of those blogs that everyone goes to for a great word and devotional,( and actually that was my first attempt at this and that's probably why nobody read them lol), but shortly I found out that I would have to leave "most" of the serious stuff to someone else and I would have to be in charge of bringing smiles lol.

So without trying to toot my own horn, here are the awards that I got. I hope I do this right.
Award #1 was from Chelsey from Joyfully Living for His Glory
Chelsey has a heart for Titus 2 and is currently starting a weekly Meme called "At the Well". Make sure you go check it out.

Award #2 was from Kristi over at Kiki's Corner.
Kristi and I have become fast bloggy friends. If I could give this award back to her I would lol!

Award #3 was from Karen over at Faith of a Single Mom.
Karen sucked me into an ongoing photo challenge lol and we have conversed back and forth ever since. She takes stunning pictures and I really enjoy taking a glimpse through her camera.

Okay now since 2 of the awards are similar and I'm not really sure what the first award means, I am going to condense my nominees into one category and choose just 8 of my favorite blogs that I nominate for the Brillante Weblog Premio-2008. If not I'd be here all morning lol. So here they are:
Blessed Beyond Imagination- This is my best friends blog and she's just getting started but I know that you will be blown away by her blogs. She has great wisdom to share along with great recipes and I know there are great things to come. She's the one that has gotten me into sewing. I'm sure she'll be posting on all sorts of things. She has a lot to share. Stop by and say hi to her.

4 Reluctant Entertainers- I'm not sure how I stumbled across this blog but I love it. I love to entertain and Sandy has all the in's and out's of doing it and doing it right without costing a bunch of money. Martha Stewart watch out!

LauraLee's Lifesong- She is why I gave up writing devotionals lol. How can I compete with that ha ha! She has great insight and really has a passion for encouraging women through the word. I'll leave that to her because the Lord really speaks through her and her blog. You will surely be encouraged.

The Heart of a Father- I have to give this one to my husband. Even though he probably won't post it because he has such a passion for the word. He wants so badly to encourage other men to be better husbands and fathers. Though he doesn't write daily he means what he writes when he writes it and it truly is inspired by the Lord.

Organizing Junkie- Who else can inspire you to take a picture of your mess and post it on the web so everyone else can see it lol! She has truly inspired me to get my act together and to organize my house. If there were a Organizing Junkie "baby" group, I'd be the ring leader lol.

Biblical Womanhood- Crystal has so much to offer women these days. Her passion for her home and family are evident in all she does.

Stop and Smell the Chocolates- Lisa has fun things to share. I enjoy reading her blogs and she has a weekly meme on Friday for chocolate recipes. Who doesn't love that!

Like a Warm Cup of Coffee- These two gals are fun. They make cleaning windows "fun"? Well maybe not fun but easier? I love to see what's going on next with these two. I love what they are doing in blog land.

Now if you've been nominated before you may or may not be excused from nominating again. I guess that's up to you. If you haven't been then please try to list your nominees as I have done and link to them and leave them a comment letting them know that you are sharing the award blogging love. Don't forget to put your award on your blog.

Thanks again for all who read my blog and post such lovely comments.
Blessings,

  1. Oh my goooooooooooodness. Wowzer. I'm truly humbled that you would include LauraLee's Lifesong on this list. YOu have just taken a stressful start to the day and put a smile on it. A smiling stressed person, there's a picture!

And congrats on your awards. So have you figured out yet that you don't have to write devos to live out your testimony? You're a WALKING devo! Your spunky style and fun sense of humor, as well as the insights or questions you've posed to us in your posts are all part of the list of an example-setting Christian. That which is true, lovely, pure, right and good shines through every word that you right, and that is contagious.

THAT is why you were given awards. Cuz people see Jesus in your blog.

So congrats, and thanks for giving me the great honor. It means more than I could say. You can mail my trophy to Crazyville. ;)
