Tackle It Tuesday (part 2)

Well I know you've been waiting on the edge of your seats all week. As this week probably dragged on for those of you waiting.(Yeah right!) It has flown by for us. We had quite a few nights that we were unable to work on it so it set us back a bit but we made great headway. The only thing left to do is really my husband. Wait, that didn't come out right! Let me rephrase. My husband is the one with a few more things to do. Since he was the one building the book shelves and trimming out the windows and such, he got a bit behind putting his stuff away, but the BIG stuff is done. If you want to see more before pictures click here to see part 1.
I won't bore you with all the in between pictures. I'll just give you the before and after pictures. I tried to take the picture from the same angle. So I'll post the before from that angle then the after. Here it goes:
This is a before of my sons old room which is now our office.

After
Before.....

After.
My husband's desk is the one on the right with the stuff still piled around it. I wish I could help him with it but you know how it is. You want that kind of stuff where YOU want it. He wouldn't know where anything was once I got done with it all lol.

Before....
I know this looks like an after but it's a before. I had just cleaned their room so it looked all nice and neat for pictures lol.
After

Now here is the boys new room which used to be our old office. I'll only show you one before picture because that's really all it takes lol. We were already into the process when I took this before picture.

After
All and all I think it turned out quite nice. I now have plenty of room for all my things in the office and will be able to sew and craft in there quite nicely. Here is the most absolutely most fabulous news though. My husband is on a roll and Lord knows I love it when he gets on these BIG rolls of his. So next he said we could start on OUR room. Woo Hoo! Our room hasn't been done since we moved in. Frankly it scares me a bit ha ha! I love our furniture but that is about it. So I've been going through my Cottage Living books for inspiration. I want a light and bright cottagey feel. I will take any suggestions and pictures. That goes for wall color and decorating tips.
Well my friends. I hope you enjoyed your little tour of our two room makeover.Come back next week and we may be on our room. If not I'm sure I can find a much smaller tackle to do. Before you know it you will have entered each room in our house lol!
Blessings my friends,

Psst!!! Kristi. Here is a picture just for you. You wanted to know if we took a picture of our game. Well we did. But like I said in my bowling post, I was out of the groove lol! My score is on top followed by my daugters, 2 sons and my husband went last. He was WAY out of his groove too. He said we will go just the two of us soon so we can redeem ourselves lol.

  1. Looks terrific! Love the softer colors. I know that it was a LOT of work and you are thankful to have it all done!

Ready to tackle your bedroom now, huh? A glutton for punishment, LOL? We have our bedroom painted a light grey-blue color and we adore it. Very restful. It's called Silver Lining and it's made by Pittsburg Paint. Not sure if they still have it anymore. We know that we picked out the right color 16 years ago because we haven't wanted to ever change it!

  2. WOW! Way to go!!! The room look incredible. The office paint color is so great. I can hardly wait to see what you create in that great, new space. Thanks for posting your scores. Oh, poor thing...you were in the 100's...give me a break! LOL You are still better at bowling, and I'm just going to keep practicing on our Wii. Have a blessed day!

  9. I like the colors you picked too. But I have to tell you, I loved the way you had the boys room before. You are talented, and lucky to have a man that is willing to help you. I am blessed that way as well. Sure makes life a little easier. We are going to add on a whole room. About 25x25. Maybe. It may be too much wasted space so we will have to mark it off and just see. I love having a handy man. Now if I could just get him to clean my garage out!!!

  13. Wow! I was quite impressed with the before and afters. I love the colors and the way your made space by rearranging. I can't wait to see your bedroom redone as well. It was quite funny the way the part came out about your husband!! ha! I just don't have it in me right now to tackle a big project like that. We did clean out the garage the other day, but that was more of Brian's project. I should have taken pics, but didn't know about this group. Anyway, you did great bowling, what are you talking about? Super "tackle".

  18. I can't wait to see your room. My hubby did mine for a Christmas gift for me the year before. I was told it looks like a bed & breakfast room. It is a bit small but to me it looks so pretty. Dh did a great job.
    Next it's the laundry room.
