I got this little gem for my birthday one year about 9 years ago. The conversation went something like this. I opened up the present and just sort of looked at it. I then said, "oh thank you so much." My friend said, " do you know what it is?" I said, "I haven't got a clue, lol!" So after we all got done laughing she told me it was an egg yolk separator. I thought, huh, what do I need an egg separator for? To give you some background, I wasn't the master chef back then like I am now lol. Hamburger Helper was a regular visitor in our house. But as my culinary talents started to blossom I found myself using this little guy more and more. Now a days I use it quite often. I know that there are people out there that simply separate it in the shell but by the time I get done cracking a shell there isn't much left so this guy works for me. So without further ado here is my cute egg separator. And be honest, would you have known what it was?

I would not have known! It is really cute, though. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI would not have had a clue LOL all I have ever seen are the little plastic ones. This is certainly a creative one.
ReplyDeleteHamburger Helper???? Seriously? That ranks up there w/ potted meat and spam in my book! Yuck! I'm just teasing you. I never would have known what that was either.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteThat is really really cute, and NO, I would not have known and still not convinced that it is an egg seperator. You should have demonstrated it in your pictures or video...hey, that's a thought. I just didn't get it, I need to see it more in detail, and I think I need one too.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I'm taking advice today on how to be a mom that has it all together. I'd love your advice!
ReplyDeleteOMG! I so would have no clue either! Another idea someone sent in to Sandra Lee of Food Network is to use a funnel. IDK but any help w/those eggs works for me too!
ReplyDeleteThx for stopping by and commenting, Ginger
It's darling! I love it. I was thinking, "What is that?"
ReplyDeleteI would never have known!! And I still don't quite get how it works - I agree that a demonstration is needed. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have a gift with a good story and pleasant memories.
I never would have guessed it!
ReplyDeleteI would have been stumped too! I can't even tell you the last time that I cracked an egg, LOL! DH does the cooking and I do the cleanup.
ReplyDeleteIt is cute and a sweet reminder of your friend.
That is dar-link!!!!
