Thankful Thursday

We have a nice long window in the front of our house and I find myself looking out it very often throughout the day. Today I am thankful for things that I see out my ol' window.
I am thankful for:
  • the squirrels who entertain me daily with their silliness. We find peanuts in some very odd spaces and I'm going to start taking pictures of the peanuts because it's quite funny. They make me laugh daily (the squirrels not the peanuts lol). The ones they bury actually become peanut plants and we are growing peanuts! It's actually quite neat. I can see it now The Wilson Peanut Farm (come pick your own)
  • the rain that comes just when my flowers need it so I don't have to water them.
  • the school buses that drive by and remind me that I am so blessed to be able to watch my children grow and learn here at home. (I'm not saying if your kids go to "school " that you aren't blessed. This is what God has called ME to do.)
  • my deck that awaits the day when I will be able to sneak out there in the early mornings and have quiet time without the need of wrapping myself in mosquito netting.
  • the palm trees swaying, to remind me never to bother doing anything to my hair because if you live at the beach there is ALWAYS an ocean breeze. On the up side though, there is ALWAYS a breeze!
  • the people that walk by on their way to the beach to remind me to constantly pray for their salvation.
  • I am thankful for those same people for they also remind me that I need to go to the gym as they walk by in their bikini's. :)
Well those are my thankful thoughts for this Thursday morning! There is a lot to be thankful for just looking out your window. Stop and take a look.
For more thankful thoughts go on over to Sting My Heart.
Blessings my friends.

I am especially thankful for all the men and women who have given their lives for this fight against terrorism. May we never forget what happened this dreadful day 7 years ago and be thankful for this great country we live in. God Bless America!

  7. I loved it all. The squirrels, the breeze, and the upcoming deck especially. I needed the reminder to go to the gym as well as I have an empty plate sitting in front of me that just moments ago had a piece of chocolate cake on it! Thanks!

  8. We need to be thankful for the simple things in life. So looking out the window was a great day to appreciate this day that God has made. I am feeling very close to God this very moment, when you read what happened to my son you will understand why. See you soon.

  10. These are great blessings. I would like to live on water someday. Something about THAT specific breeze that always calms me. Unless its at about 70 mph. Then its not technically a breeze though right?

    Many blessings-
    Amanda

  15. LOL! I am so glad I am not the only one that doesn't bother to "fix" my hair because of the constant breeze. ~grin~ Watching palm trees dance is one of my favorite things. I had to laugh about your squirrels too. We have several in our trees by our front porch. They are constantly trying to figure out ways to get into our bird feeders and our cat is constantly stalking the squirrels. It always makes for much laughter at my house. Blessings to you in the week ahead!

  18. I enjoyed reading your TT. I also looked at your profile, since this is my first visit to your blog. It's nice to meet a fellow artist! I like to paint and draw as well. Love homeschooling, being a homemaker, learning to love photography, getting into planting stuff outside. :-) Oh, and Facing the Giants and Pride and Prejudice are also top movies on my list. Your question inspired a nice little post on Fudgees complete with a picture:

  19. Nice list.
A constant breeze through my naturally curly hair would pump it up and back to the 50's Doo Wop era!
