I spent how much????

Picture the scene. Five AM, crowds of people in Walmart all hovering around the sales. The line backed up for as far as you can see for the electronic sales. People grabbing stuff left and right. Me? I leave without one Christmas gift. So what did I do next? My daughter and I went to JoAnn Fabrics. We went in and in the end I spent a total of $11.80. LOL!
Woot! Woot! I didn't even buy any fabric. If you saw my closet (wait you can, I'll be right back).

Okay I'm back, but first here is one thing I bought at JoAnn's. It was already 60% off and I had a 20% off coupon for your total purchase. I also bought a few Christmas buttons and ribbon.
Isn't it cute? I am always on the lookout for something to fit in that narrow spot by the front door.
Oh and just so you know why I didn't buy any more fabric. Here is a picture of some of it!I hope you all have a most excellent weekend.
HUGS!!!!

  1. That is really neat! I like it!
Look at all that fabric! Gosh I don't even know how to sew (or knit, or crochet or anything like that!) But whenever I walk into JoAnn's I get inspired to want to learn. LOL Good deal! I stayed in on Black Friday (with my 4 kids!) I'm too scared to fight the crowd, so I shopped from the internet (I know, I cheated!) :)

  2. What a bargain! I love the juxtaposition of the red against the yellow. It's perfect. I think I could have a lot of fun with my glue gun in your craft closet. So, our headers crack me up. We have the same verse, "Happy Birthday Jesus" and ornaments. Great minds think alike. Did you help Erica with her header too? Have a great weekend!

  3. Kim,

And to think I was going to bring you all of my fabric I have just sitting downstairs in my basket!!!

I only went to Kohl's yesterday and in the afternoon ... my daughter 'needed' a few things and she always sucker punches me! lol

    Happy Saturday! ((hugs)) to you!

  4. I don't sew or craft but I do like going to JoAnn's for other things. Loved the sled and it looks perfect there.

  5. You have enough fabric to sew for years!!!

Speaking of Wal-Mart at 5 a.m., my husband was reading me an article about a WalMart in New York (I think) where the crowd stampeded, killing an employee in the process.

And then there was a case at a toy store in California, where two women were arguing over a toy, and their husbands got into a shooting match over it. Crazy!!

Me, I just slept in and didn't hit the stores. Although late in the afternoon, I went to the grocery store to get stuff for Garrett's birthday. The grocery store was nearly vacant. Unlike the pre-Thanksgiving rush I encountered there on Tuesday, there was hardly a soul in the place. Guess everyone was busy at the mall!

    Blessings,
    Patti

  6. Good for you on not going crazy on Black Friday! Love the new sign. And you're right - that fabric stash is big enough!

  7. I'm mad at myself, coz I forgot my coupon when I went up there today. I'm going back tomorrow, coz they have patterns for $.99! And I had to measure my table before buying a Debbie Munn tablecloth for 60% off. LOVE that store!

I have yet to buy any gifts, unless I can count the sewing machine I bought myownself. 8-]

    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

  10. I'm a sucker for fabric too. I think I spend more time buying fabric and organizing it than I do actually using it or sewing anything.

    *sigh*

If only I had 30 hour days....

  12. I am *so* not a Black Friday shopper. You did good, my friend! How did you come out of Walmart with nothing? I can never do that. Excellent score at the fabric store. I love it!
