Works For Me Wednesday

Oh you are all going to want one of these when you are done watching this. My battery died right at the end of it but you get the idea. My precious daughter will be demonstrating for you today! This is a must have for making apple pie, apple crisp, applesauce, apple anything! No more carpal tunnel for me! Woot! Woot!

Introducing (said in my best game show voice) the Apple Peeler Corer Slicer! Try saying that 10x fast! I couldn't say it once and had to retake the video lol. If it didn't take so long to load it would have made a great blooper lol. I know what you're thinking, ME? Mess up? I know, I know, sometimes it does indeed happen.

This is what it looks like all done. Isn't that cool? Now you probably aren't going to whip this baby out for one apple but it's so worth it when you need to do a bunch. Like today, when you are making an apple pie for tomorrow!

Well there you have it.
Now go check out what's working for others today @ Rocks In My Dryer.

Have a most excellent day and a Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. I had one of those...just never pulled it out. It is very cool in theory, for sure. Have fun making apple pie. I am off to get what I need to make a pecan pie and the famous green bean casserole.
Quick question. How did you design the topper for your blog? I want to change things up on Friday for Christmas. Also, I am enjoying the book and have started putting some of it to practice. Thanks!

  3. Kim,

My friend, Phyllis, used to be a Pampered Chef consultant and she showed me how to work one of those! Wow!...one I know! Those are awesome.

I hope you are having a great Wednesday, my friend.

    ((hugs)) to you!

  4. I LOVE this gadget. When we moved into this house 3 years ago, our mortgage officer gave us one as a housewarming present (since we have 2 apple trees). It has made it SO easy to make applesauce and dried apples and apple crisp and apple pie...and on an on. I think it's a fabulous invention.

Have a wonderful day, sweet friend. May your Thanksgiving be filled to overflowing with love and joy.

    Love,
    Patti

  5. Ooohh, I want one now. I got the Gooseberry Patch cookbook yesterday! I was so excited, I spent like at least an hour looking through it, I'm pretty sure I gained 5 pounds just reading the recipes, lol. Thanks again!

  8. That is so cool! That was an excellent demonstration! And I loved hearing your voice, too.

I'm not making any apple pies this time - pecan pie and amaretto cake and pumpkin cheesecake and all have to be done today as I was sick in bed all day yesterday (I still have a low fever - please keep me in your prayers!).

Have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving!!

  10. It's even better than you imagine...you can peel and slice potatoes with it, too. (You end up with a potato core that you have to cut up, but that isn't such a big deal after all the other work it already does for you.)

  15. I saw one of those at a Pampered Chef party . . . years ago. But I could never get it to work!

In our family, we have ridiculous contests to see who can peel an apple (by hand) all in one twirly piece. ;-)
