I'm calling it Seasonal OCD!

Yes, I've given it a name! I am self diagnosing my problem.
On average I'm a pretty laid back kind of gal. I'm sure you can sense that if you've read my blog for any amount of time, but for some reason this time of year I get a little nutty!
First the Christmas Tree incident and now we are embarking upon the Gingerbread House Decorating Competition. It hasn't always been a "competition". In fact nobody else even considers it a competition but me. LOL. It started about 5 years ago, an innocent, wonderful thing that my husband used to do with my daughter. They would get a gingerbread making kit and then decorate it together. Slowly I would find myself looming over them, giving direction and unwanted advice. Laughing and pointing fingers!!! (Okay well maybe I didn't go that far!) Then it dawned on me. Next year I'll get my OWN gingerbread making kit. No wait! I'll even MAKE the gingerbread from scratch. (I've since gotten over that part of my OCD ever since I accidentally cut the door opening in the roof of the house. So I now buy them again).
Today is that day! The day we decorate the houses. Everyone gets a house to decorate all by their lonesome. If I could lock myself in my office with my gingerbread house, the candy, the icing and my Christmas music, I would. But Alas, that would be weird, so I'm not!
So probably Monday I will have you feed my OCD by voting on your favorite house. They will be anonymous and you will have no idea who's is who's, just to keep it fair. (I'm weird but I'm not a cheater! LOL!)
So come back Monday to see what went down today. There will be lots of pictures I'm sure.

I'm sending great BIG HUGS to you all today!!!!
