Works For Me Wednesday

I have a confession to make. I don't use a microwave! Gasp! I know! I know! However do I survive? LOL. Believe me I manage. When we did have a microwave the only thing I really used it for was melting butter and popping corn. So when we got rid of it, I missed my popcorn terribly. Hence the reason for this post. It wasn't long after we got rid of the microwave that we purchased this Hot Air Popper. We've had it for a few years now and love it. I thought a demonstration would be fun, so enjoy. Oh and you may need to tilt your head just a little because the person doing the video taping didn't realize that you couldn't switch from vertical to horizontal without messing everything up. But you'll get the idea just the same. Please watch it as it took me over an hour to upload it! LOL.

Wasn't that fun? You too could have that much fun right there in the comfort of your own home. Yes sir, for just $19.99 you could own your own Hot Air Popper and make your own silly videos of your family getting all excited over something as simple as popping corn! Oh and I highly recommend the white corn not the yellow!
This not doing it for you? Well then hop on over to We are That Family and see if you can find something that will!
Big Giant Hugs!!

  7. Wow! I felt like you came to my house and took that video (except of course with your family). :) We haven't had a microwave in about 2 years. And I get along fine without it! We have like 4 of those poppers, have to with a family of 11. The only difference is we use olive oil spray and popcorn seasonings. (Personally, I still love the real melted butter and salt on mine). We even have the big metal bowls!
BTW...we enjoyed the video (but we didn't lean our heads over, we just watched it like it was, it was still entertaining).

I had to giggle at your Smart Balance butter. We use that too but my DH doesn't like it because he says it doesn't melt.LOL

  11. Too funny! Our microwave bit the dust about a month ago....and we haven't had the extra cash to replace it. At first I thought we would all die of starvation without it....but we're still here (I actually found a great way to broil my nachos.....AHHAHAHAHHAHA.....) and I think I've even put on a few pounds. :)

  16. How much fun! What a handsome hubby and cute kiddos! I got to hear your voice too! I loved it, even though my neck is a little stiff now, it was worth it. My parents have a hot air popper I just realized. It does make good popcorn. Hmmm.

  17. Oh that was so fun!! Your husband is funny! "Oooh I'm going to be on the internet!" LOL I don't think my hubby would let me get away with putting him on the net like that, so kuddos to him!
My kids were intrigued by the whole thing! :) Thanks for the entertainment. :)

  18. Just got back from the chiropractor after watching your video - LOL!! I LOVED the video! Your hubby was great and it was so fun to see how excited the boys got. And it cracked me up when the lense fogged up! It was like I was really there - ha,ha! :)

My Dad had one of those when I was in high school and the butter would melt and drip down onto the popcorn. We had it regularly and added salt of course. Yum.

Excellent entertaining post my friend!! And you are past 100 followers - where's that giveaway? LOL!

Have a wonderful day! Big Buttery Pop-Pop-Poppop-poppitypoppoppop hugs to you today!!! :)

  21. I'm so glad you posted the video because it brought back college dorm memories! I loved using a hot air popper and now thanks to your video, you show how much fun it can be. So much more fun than microwave popcorn. I may have to look for one while garage saling this summer.

You should post a "how to" on how to put a video on a post. I'd be interested!!!

  24. I love air popped corn, too, and we DO have a microwave. Air popped is so much better than microwave. OK, it helps that I use real butter and add Parmesan Cheese. ;-)
